Obviously, this entry was written a while back- the Skwovet was safely delivered and was growing strong. Still, its a fond memory, the way her face lit up.

Somehow, he'd won over Kieran's Applin gift. That meant a lot about his bond with Juliana. Or maybe it was the fact he'd already managed to give her an Applin, even thought it was completely unplanned. Really, he had to pay more attention to what foods he picked for their picnics.

Oh, good! Even if John doesn't eat ... or drink ... or do anything but smoke cigars and say some ominous things, there was a lot that Arven owed to John. Things like finding closure and learning what he was meant to be. That one was a little difficult. Nothing like really learning that he was going to be the Guardian of Paradise for real.

John probably knew that already.

John seemed to know everything.
