one of my favourite things about language and how places are named is that in wiradjuri language, wagga wagga means many crows or place of many crows, and the place, Wagga Wagga is named that because of just how many crows are there

One thing I've noticed about going to Catholic school for 11 years is that we spend far too much time looking over the past and revering people who actually, when you look at it, weren't really that great.

#mother theresa is a name used as a synonym for generosity and kindness but like. have you SEEN some of the stuff she did????? #and also the massive issue of antisemitism in the people we look at that isnt addressed #(just a distaste for other religions in general really.) #like. its better now. kinda. but there really is no room to critisize public historical figures in catholicism if ur at a catholic school #& i think thats why i make so many wild generalisations of it now bc i just. dont know how to word my criticism without a thing of.edgyness #and just general rage at how my schooling has brought me up #..the devil talks in scottish brogue..
