INTRODUCING - TRIGGER DOUBLE-CROSS!

A four-month-long digital TRIGGER fan event made to celebrate 9th anniversary of IDOLiSH7 and the four new TRIGGER songs we're getting across July to October!

This event will feature:

An open creative period for all things TRIGGER, be it art, writing, cosplay, anything!!

Tons of fan events and prompts to allow even those who can't find the time to create (or don't see themselves as creators) to join in from questionnaires, Rabbichat Book Clubs, and more!

A lengthy, flexible period designed to show all the love possible for TRIGGER, be it specific members on their birth months, or all three (or four, if you want to include Kaoru!) for four months straight!

WHAT IS TRIGGER DOUBLE-CROSS?

TRIGGER Double-Cross is a fan event designed to show all the love fans have for TRG! Its goal is to pay tribute to TRIGGER throughout the four months in which duets and their anniversary song are released, using the combined efforts of any contributions fans can offer to keep the celebration going from July to October! The name "TRIGGER Double-Cross" represents how this event is held digitally, just like TRIGGER Live Cross VALIANT was. It's meant to represent us striking back - giving all of the strength they gave us during VALIANT right back at them!

HOW DOES TRIGGER DOUBLE-CROSS WORK?

Because it's a digital event, all you guys need to do is tag your work with #TRIGGERDOUBLECROSS or #TRGDOUBLECROSS (Or just @ the TRGDaily account, really) to have your contributions get featured/shared! Super simple and easy!

You can also join in by chatting with your fellow TRG fans through the discussion posts and questionnaires! Anything goes! That said, THERE ARE RULES as to what will lead you to not be shared by TRGDaily itself, and therefore not counted in the event at large, but they're rather straightforward.

RESPECT OTHER FANS AND THEIR OPINIONS. We all love TRIGGER at the end of the day no matter what our opinions may be!

THE ABOVE RULE DOES NOT APPLY TO TRANSPHOBIA, RACISM, OR ANY OTHER FORM OF DISCRIMINATION, THOUGH. If discrimination is seen on your account when we check out your involvement in TRIGGER Double-Cross, your work WILL NOT be shared.

Ships are allowed (I mean, we're getting duets, I'm certainly not stopping anyone in enjoying those lol.) but they need to be kept within TRIGGER itself. For example: GakuTenn and RyuTenn content will be shared, but GakuTsumu won't. Please keep in mind though, that this IS a GENERAL TRIGGER event first and foremost, and please do NOT take the amount of shipping content TRGDaily retweets as a sign of favoritism between ships.

If you feel as if TRGDaily has failed to recognize your contribution, please note that the moderator is only human, and while he has help, things are bound to slip between the cracks. You can notify the account in this case, but please don't spam or delete your posts sharing said creations/contributions.

NEWS - TONS of upcoming songs!

Re:vale's anniversary has come and gone, and with it comes the news of the Story & Song project that involves each group releasing a new song on their anniversary that tells/ties into a story! Re:vale kicked this off with Binary Vampire, which told the story through the lyrics and a summarized story on the official website. We can expect the same for TRIGGER on September 19th this year! HOWEVER, it was announced earlier this year (that I'm late mentioning sgdfbgfh) that the birthday project for this year is the 16PRODUCER project where the group's members are shuffled around and told to produce each other to make a special unit! For TRIGGER, this means we're getting duets on their birthdays, and they're balanced to where every combination of the group has their own song together!

BUT, the most fun thing about this is that the anniversary song fills in the hole made by their birthday songs... meaning, we're getting new TRIGGER songs every month between July to October!!

That's awesome, and for one, I can't wait. <3

so on the Twitter account, followers got to watch as I got to complain about bad gacha luck and watch that immediately get turned around shortly after. I now announce that I can no longer complain because not only have I gotten lucky with a ton of other famous pulls, but. Well.

Happy Anniversary, IDOLiSH7!

Alright! A bunch of stuff got announced to celebrate the series' 8th anniversary today, so lets break down the most important things regarding our favorite group, TRIGGER!

You've probably heard this stuff already but hey. I do what I want and I'm making this post anyway.

First up, let's get all the smaller 8th Anniversary stuff out of the way! Plenty of stuff has been changed and announced to help bring the series into its latest era, and all of it is very exciting!

Special Anniversary visuals by the series' main character designers have been shared and released!

... Also I feel like it's worth noting that Arina-sensei has made it clear that we've reached TRIGGER's numbers in terms of anniversaries, and that reflects in her art. Meaning, maybe it'll reflect in other things too...?!

The game is hosting weekly free 11-pulls which bring back Heavenly Visitor, Wish Voyage, Kiseki, Music in Your Thoughts, and Light Future cards! On top of that, there's a log-in bonus for nanakores and 80 Stellar Stones in total!

The game has been refreshed with a few new features like notifications on screen when you get a message from an idol/manager, more idol storage, and even special voice lines that play before a live, after an auto live finishes, and if you manage to full-combo the song. The "hey, there's an event going on" home screen line has been replaced, too, thank fuck.

A new Namjatown collab has been announced that covers the idol in glowy clothing!

The official website has been completely overhauled including brand-new bios for the idols!

Now, onto the really fun stuff...

Shuffle Units are back!!

As part of the yearly anniversary story, we're finally getting Shuffle Units including Re:vale and ZOOL! As of Producer Letter 26, it's been confirmed that these units will be themed and have special songs for each, but the themes haven't been shared yet! We may have to read the two-part story to find out!

Part 1 will release September 5th, and Part 2 will release September 15th! It won't be voiced, though. Voice acting will come at a later date.

Kuji Memorial Video & Cards!

What's likely the most surprising thing of all for the anniversary is that it's big surprise looks back on all of the dramas IDOLiSH7's cast have starred in over the last seven years - down to releasing an animated memorial video that covers everything from La Danse Macabre to the Last Dimension musical! There's a lot of shots of TRIGGER to spot, so if you haven't seen it yet, go watch it! It's pure emotional eye candy!

On top of that, the yearly revival gacha deals with it, too, featuring special UR cards that focus on specific scenes from Mechanical Lullaby, i7 Police, Hoshimeguri (now known in English as The Stargazer?), Karatoga, La Danse Macabre, Mission (Yamato's movie from Part 3), and BLAST! (Part 5 drama)

The best part is all the old cards, including the same kujis shown here, are in these pulls, too! Best of luck if you try to bring them home!

Producer Letter #26 Takeaways

As is tradition with i7 anniversaries, there's a new Producer Letter that goes over what the current and future plans for the series are that has a few interesting tidbits fans should be aware of! I'll break it down, but if you can, I suggest reading it in your own time.

The team is still figuring out what exactly comes "beyond the period" in terms of the story, so no updates on that just yet.

They're wanting to do another 16 person live, but they're trying to book a "difficult venue" so many fans can see it. Some fans believe this to be a hint that they're trying to book the Tokyo Dome. 😱 But 16 person live isn't an impossibility!

They've implies that they're working out international distribution and screening for the recent movie Beyond the Period! So sit tight if you haven't gotten a hold of it for yourself yet!

That's about it! Pretty damn big anniversary, isn't it?! Let's enjoy it to the fullest and keep supporting TRIGGER and their friends!!

DISCUSSION TIME - Who do you think will win Black or White Live Showdown?

Four idol groups, only one crown! This question's pretty simple! Who do you think is going to win Black or White Live Showdown? You can find the mod's answer below - but be warned! Part 5 spoilers are attached!

I... would love for TRIGGER to win Black or White Live Showdown, but it isn't going to happen. 🥲 They literally just surpassed Zero in Part 5, with the entire central conflict of that part revolving around them. (Not complaining; Part 5 is my favorite part currently.) They'd give it to someone else.

If I look at all the "winnings" (including both contest wins and parts that had groups overcome impossible odds ala TRG in Part 3) then ZOOL... hasn't won anything. Maybe Redfes, but I don't consider that a win because it was between ZOOL and none of the other groups. IDOLiSH7 has won every BoW they've been in so far, and the same with Re:vale. ZOOL should take it. ZOOL should win something by singing earnestly and loving their group despite the spite that they joined under to begin with.

I also really love the thought that ZOOL would be so surprised that they won, and then turn around and say that they all won, because without i7, TRG, or Re:vale, then ZOOL wouldn't be standing on that stage because those groups taught them what was important.

So yeah! Let's give it to ZOOL!

i7 Third Beat OST Untouched Pride to Feature Tenn and Ryu's Solos!

LAST NEWS POST FOR NOW, I SWEAR. But the hiatus of the anime came with good tidings! Third Beat's official soundtrack has been announced as "Untouched Pride" and came with the announcement that Tenn's "Dis One" solo and the newly recorded version of Shine on the Sea by Ryu will be included! The announcement doesn't specify if these versions are full or not, and considering the anime OST doesn't usually get a preview video before release, we'll just have to find out on March 1st!

NEW MUSIC VIDEO INCOMING!

Hello again! Two news posts in a row! It's been PRETTY BUSY! A lot of people (myself included) were of the opinions that the new cards featuring 3D models was a sign that there was going to be a music video to match. And sure enough, that's right! All four groups are getting new music videos for Black or White Showdown, including TRIGGER! This was teased with an advertisement in Japan featuring four hour time slots leading into new years. Banri already has the videos ready to premiere when the clock strikes the chosen time on YouTube.

HOWEVER, fans have deducted that the advertisement had another clue, as the timestamps on the ad turned out to be made of each group's symbols, revealing the time that each group's video is set to air. As a result, we know when TRIGGER's new music video is going to be release!
