The new creation in Christ was necessary as a result of the fall of Adam. From The beginning, man was created as a perfect being because God created man for himself. The fall of Adam caused the separation between God and man. The love of God for man from the beginning initiated the salvation process which gave birth to the new creation in Christ. Man was eternally condemned to death after the fall but God sent his only begotten son on a rescue mission to die on the cross, shedding his blood in place of man. The only requirement for salvation is to repent of your sin and accept the one who died in your place as your lord and savior.

What Is The New Creation In Christ

The new creation in Christ is a man that have cued into the salvation process offered by God to restore the fallen man back to his place in God, The new creation in Christ is the man that has believed in the salvation process, has repented of his sins and has taken Jesus as his lord and savior. Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. The new creation in Christ is a man that is born again, the man that is born of the spirit. Note that the first birth was maternal birth which is of the flesh. The second birth is what produced the new creation in Christ. The second birth is the new birth which is of the spirit, it’s the rebirth of the spirit. It affects only the spirit, it’s the spirit that is born again, only the spirit is renewed. The new creation in Christ doesn’t renew the flesh. The new creation in Christ is being led by the spirit of God to live a godly life after salvation.

The New Creation In Christ And Benefits Therefore the product of the second birth is a complete new man, total new creation, a fresh person that never existed before. Everything that was found in the old man has passed away behold all things has become new.

The new creation in Christ Is a reconnection of man to God. Man was completely disconnected from God after the fall of Adam because of sin. Once iniquity was found in man, God withdrew. The new creation in Christ is an elevation to a position. The new man is raised with Christ to sit together with Christ at the right hand of God in heavenly places, far above all principalities and power. The new creation in Christ is elevated from the physical realm to the spiritual realm, hence the ability to control emotions effectively.

As a new creation, you will have the privilege of God living in you. The presence of God is domiciled in every new creation. This is because God lives in them. The new creation in Christ are carriers of the word of God, and the word of God carries the presence of God.

God is love, and once you are in Christ, the first attribute of God that you will inherit is love. If you are to live like God as a believer, then you must love like God. The foundation upon which you can access, power, grace, favor, riches of God is love. If you don't love, then you don't know God. God loves even his enemies and the bible instructs us to do same. One of the steps to attain perfection as a believer is to develop the character of love. Love is perfect according to the bible. If only we can love like God, every other thing will fall into place. Once love is absent, God is absent. Lack of love will cripple your fruitfulness, progress, it will allow the enemy to overcome you. We are expected to love anything human. We need to understand those that are our enemies. According to the bible, we don't fight against flesh and blood. The only enemy we have is Satan and his demons. Understand that Satan will never come out to fight you in person, you will never see him. Satan uses not just a fellow human being to fight you, but anything. He can use the pen in your hand, your car, your machine, anything. Understand that a fellow human is Satan's most effective weapon to distabilize you. If you are fighting with an enemy, you don't try to kill his gun. If you kill his gun, he will get another gun and the fight continues. The gun he is using is not your enemy. If you destroy the enemy and leave the gun, the battle has ended.

As a new creation, you experience the goodness of God on a daily basis and joy is an expression and appreciation to God because of his goodness. This is because God now lives in you, fear is completely gone because of the presence of God in.

As children of God, we have to live like God. We must show kindness to one another. God is not kind when it's convenient, therefore we must not wait till when we have hundreds before we can give five. Kindness is another one of the characteristics of a new creation in Christ. God is kind. Kindness is a character of God. Every new creation in Christ must also because God lives in them. Wherever God is, his attributes must express itself there.

5. Gentle

God is gentle, if God lives in you and you are a new creation in Christ, you must be gentle too. As one born of God, you carry the genetic traits of the almighty God. Those traits, the genes must express themselves as one of the characteristics of a new creation in Christ.

6. Obedient

Obedient is another one of the important characteristics of a new creation in Christ. As children of God, we must be obedient to God and his word. The bible outrightly condems disobedience. The disobedient will live in dry ground according to the bible, and that's a curse. We can't afford to live in disobedience, both to parents, authorities and to God. Just as one can be cursed for living in disobedience, there are blessings for living in obedience.

7. Patient

Many christians seems to fail when it comes to patient, but God himself is patient with us. Even when we keep living in disobedience by failing to repent and accept the salvation work of Christ, God will be patiently waiting till we return, not willing that anyone should perish. Therefore patient is one of the characteristics of a new creation in Christ. If God himself is patient, we must also learn to be patient. Ability to control emotions is character we must develope if we are to be patient. Control of emotion is a sign of maturity.

8. Goodness

Goodness is another quality of God and one of the characteristics of a new creation in Christ. God is good, as God's children, we must learn to be good too. If God is your father, you can't be bad because only Satan is bad. Only Satan doesn't wish good things to people, but God is good even to the wicked who are his enermies, peradventure they will repent. We have to do good even to our enermies, as children of God.
