Robert Pattinson Talks Batman

Robert Pattinson recently talked to Variety about the upcoming Bat-flick, which will be directed by Matt Reeves. He stated that he’d been chasing the role of Batman for much longer than anyone knew and that he’d kept asking to meet Reeves. Finally after Matt Reeves finished writing the script for the upcoming film, he agreed to meet with Pattinson.

When news about him portraying the Dark Knight first broke, Pattison said he was worried that it would hurt his chances landing the role.

Pattinson later flew to L.A. to try on the Batsuit for an official audition. He stated, “It’s maybe the craziest thing I’ve ever done in terms of movie stuff”.

Pattinson describes that when donning the suit for the first time, “You do feel very powerful immediately. And it’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating. You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something. Once you’ve got it on, it’s like, ‘Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.’ He also stated, “You’re trying to think of the way to balance, how to bring something new to it and not want to scare people off, and work in the confines of the costume.”

Five days after the audition, he officially became the Dark Knight, beating out actor Nicholas Hoult for the part.

Deanna and some of her fellow Senior Company dancers were asked to be Disney Princesses at the Walk for Apraxia held at the North Dakota State Capital. It was a lot of fun. The little kids loved seeing Anna, Elsa, Belle, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Pocahontas. There was a lot of squealing by the little kids when they saw them and the princesses got balloon items that represented their characters.
