I think I might be in love with River Song. When she first appeared I was like “Who’s this random woman with the great hair?” But now whenever I see her I feel an automatic compulsion to cheer “River!” She’s my favourite character and I look forward to every time I see her even though she’s usually in devastating two parters, but it’s a price I’m willing to pay for Doctor River Song, she’s iconic.

As a wheelchair user I'm trying to reframe my language for "being in the way."

"I'm in the way," "I can't fit," and "I can't go there," is becoming "there's not enough space," "the walkway is too narrow," and "that place isn't accessible."

It's a small change, but to me it feels as if I'm redirecting blame from myself to the people that made these places inaccessible in the first place. I don't want people to just think that they're helping me, I want them to think that they're making up for someone else's wrongdoing. I want them to remember every time I've needed help as something someone else caused.

River and Donna interacting in Silence in the Library kills me a little bit because both their worlds have just shifted off kilter. River's gone far enough back in the Doctor's timeline that she's found the one that doesn't know her yet, and who looks right through her. Donna's met someone from the Doctor's future who doesn't know her at all, but knows of her enough to say her name with awe and sorrow.

i just think if they're doing post-library big finish audios with River, it would be neat to get one with her and Donna ending up on an adventure and getting to chat a bit more

The idea of dragons in modern times is so fun because imagine a hot summer day on your vacay and go to use the hotel pool and staff is like "valued guests we regret to inform you that the pool area is out of service at the moment, we apologize for the inconvenience"

And people like "wtf why" looking out their hotel room window and there's this. This dragon just curled up in the pool chilling, literally, cooling itself down

Some of the staff are trying to gently shoo him away and the dragon does a soft little "rrrrrr" like a grumpy cat and a warning puff of smoke and they're like "fuck it i don't get paid nearly enough for this" and no ones using the pool today sorry!

"I KNOW!" is my absolute favorite interaction between River and 10 I'm CRYING her saying she hates him is an inside joke and he's supposed to respond with "no you dont" but he's not in on the joke yet he doesn't know that!!! unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.
