Seb: "Yeah! It's an incredibe car. I mean, obviously I love the car, the way it looks and the way it drives, but mostly the fact that it was Ayrton's car, and to have the opportunity to drive it around this track on this very, very special weekend, thirty years after that very dark weekend for Formula 1, I think means even more. So if you look at the car it's obviously beautiful, but it looks very different to modern cars, but also it shows how much Formula 1 has progressed. Also thanks to that horrible weekend, as strange as it sounds, but obviously after that people looked into the circuits to make the tracks safer, the runoff bigger, changing the corners, the layout, changing the cars, talking about crash structures, increasing the strength of what the chassis and the cars can withstand in case of impact. So it was a very, very dark moment in time, but obviously I was one of the drivers firsthand that benefited from the implications when it comes to safety on all the cars that followed."

I think personally I've been enjoying the sprint race weekends, but when you're trying to get on top of your car, trying to test things, only having those one practice sessions for the past two race weekends Has been over a month now, I think, since the last conventional race weekend, where you can afford to test. It has put us a little bit on the back foot, but ultimately we find ourself in this position because of maybe a lack of understanding earlier in the year, so we're quite excited to get back to a standard weekend."

Interviewer: "George, what's been the highlight of the weekend so far? Has it been performance on track, or was it scaring the pants off Ed Sheeran?" George: "Yeah, that was good fun, to be fair. It was the first time I met Ed and to be honest it's always good when you take that Mercedes out, you get fully drifting and going sideways and just, yeah, ragging it a bit, so that was good fun." Interviewer: "For the grand prix today, what are your hopes? What are your expectations after what you guys learned in the sprint yesterday and the changes you rang before qualifying?" George: "I think we're pretty happy that we maximized the result. Obviously we've had some really bad qualifying recently, so that'll help us for today. I hope to be able to hopefully fight with maybe one of the McLarens, one of the Ferraris, but we're realistic. We know we're probably half a step behind, so if we manage to get anything more than that, that'll be a bonus." Interviewer: "Nico said he's hopeful of getting in a fight with you guys in his Haas." George: "We can all be hopeful. I'm hoping to get in a fight with Red Bull." [laughs] Interviewer: [laughs] "Love that, man. Thanks. Good luck today."

I honestly love racing in that situation, where you're battling with someone nonstop through a race, I think that's what we're here for, right? And there are some races where you don't get to have that opportunity, so I just spoke to Kevin just now and I said I had a good time. He said he didn't." Interviewer: [laughs] "Sprint, I know you didn't start where you wanted to. How much better do you feel in the car with the change you were able to ring between the sprint and quali yesterday?" Lewis: "Yeah, I think we made subtle changes, so nothing big, but it felt a lot better, so I'm really happy with the balance that we have for today. It's gonna be tough. I don't think we're on pace with the guys ahead of us, but we'll still try and give 'em some trouble." Interviewer: "If it's anything like yesterday, it's gonna be very enjoyable to watch.
