this is one of those things thats like "i could probably figure this out myself if i dedicated 6 months and learning a new programming language" but i have a lizard brain aversion to python but i wish blender had a thing where you could mark edges to modify subdivide same as like, marking sharp or bevel or seams or anything else, because the way like every person i see including me uses subdiv is to algorithmically smooth large parts of models that need high poly count and low detail but then still make isolated parts with higher poly count because we want higher control and not because they actually need proportionally higher poly count so now thats also subdivided for no reason. and i think tbis would usher in a new era of peace and less than 1 million poly models being shipped to indie vtubers
