Sometimes I work too hard and forget to go be slutty. It's really a tragedy. And like, I never wear a shirt if I can help it, so you'd think it'd be hard to forget.

But yeah like. Sure I'm hard aro. Sure I'm ace. But you don't get it. Fighting and banging are like, so close to the same thing. You'd be SHOCKED how much a history of battle is intertwined with a history of, you know, hashing it out.

But whatever, who cares about history, Minty keeps getting annoyed at how much pent-up energy I have and nobody to spend it on.

Need a massage? Some medicine? Maybe just a friend? A helping hand? Need me to gather some food for you? I can cook you a grilled cheese! Or whatever you need! I'm all over it!

It's been warming up lately, which means I have been taking the crew for walks more often since it means I don't have to freeze my ass off. It has also been a lot wetter lately, which means that a lot of spring plant growth has been starting up again in Pinwheel Forest, so I've been taking my Pokémon there for our hikes so I can look for ingredients for some experimental treats. The rainy weather has led to a lot of big puddles though, and Bruleé hates when her paws get wet, so I've had to order some specially made Quilava booties for her.

All of this to say, while I was bent over a patch of leaves picking some Tinymushrooms, Macaron used me as a springboard to splash into a puddle and scared Bruleé, which made her cannonball into me at top speeds, so now I have a thrown-out back and a burn on my arm, and my favorite coat is covered in mud and spores.

Sorry I haven't been posting historical stuff lately! I haven't slept in three days!

Okay so I'm on my laptop a lot procrastinating grant writing, right? So obviously I end up going down a lot of rabbit holes and I often come back around to "man, I wanna learn how to program computers."

So I'm sitting here in a café in Castelia trying to learn Serperior for the fifth time totally just blanking on how to write a really simple Mad Libs program.

Y'know, sometimes when I'm walking to the café early in the morning with the kids, I like to stop for a second and just take in everything around me. They say Castelia never sleeps, and it's true! Even when I'm heading in to work at 3 am, there's still so much going on around me.

Anyways, Bruleé scared the crap out of some young punks this morning because she had her quills up to light a dark alley for me, Custard, and Macaron, and I think the kids thought they were about to get attacked by a feral Quilava.

I apologized for her startling them, and offered to give them each a free donut once I opened up shop this morning as compensation. They did actually drop by to claim the donuts, and they even paid to eat with one of the rescue 'mons! They picked Trubbish and let me tell you, the little guy was thrilled that someone wanted to eat with him for once! I think they took a shine to him.

I hope they come back. They seemed like good kids.

So WHAT if I hang around aesthetically pleasing areas of routes, caves, or the depths of historical sites and challenge interesting- or tough-looking children to Pokémon battles? Who CARES if I do it while talking vaguely about my interests and forgetting to introduce myself?
