I've been pretty quiet since hurting my hand a few weeks ago, mostly because I wasn't sewing and didn't have anything to share. But it's healing nicely and I'm starting to get back to sewing now!
Yesterday, I posted a little update to the Fibre Arts blog where I mentioned I was planning to continue working on my Ice Cream Soda blocks and I have since followed through!
I finished four block centres that were originally cut and basted sometime in April. I'm so excited to be getting back into Ice Cream Soda and can't wait to see what these centres grow into!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
This week, I don't have a usual post on the Fibre Arts blog due to an injury to my hand which has prevented me from sewing recently. It's not very serious and just needs a few days to heal up!
In the meantime, I'm thinking of sending my machines in for maintenance since I can't really use them right now anyway, and their last annual check up should have been in February or March, whoops!
And though I can't sew right now, I can still work a mouse and keyboard, so I'm hoping to get started on my label stencil plan. Wish me luck!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
After concluding the Stars of the City quilt along and taking some time off, I plan to get back on track with all of my various projects and goals. To start that off, let's take a look back at my recent progress with a little Project Update!
I've been working on several different projects, some of which were featured last week in the block of the month post, and others that I haven't shared much about in quite some time!
Check them out by visiting the Fibre Arts blog!

Finished another Six Pointed Star block for the Generations Quilt!
I know there's probably other things I should be working on, but I wanted something fun and colourful after all the rain we've gotten recently.
Hoping to get back on track with a few other projects later this evening!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
As the month of May begins, the Stars of the City quilt along is coming to an end. This week, I've shared the final set of instructions for the quilt along, including steps to piece the Drunkards units into curved block borders, and assembling blocks into a finished quilt top!
Find the full instructions by visiting the Fibre Arts blog, I can't wait to see how your quilts turn out!

Wanted to share a quick look at the inside of this block, the twirly seams came out so well this time!
I would love to make a few more of these sometime, they were so much fun to put together!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
Over the past week, I've been focusing on preparing my two versions of the Stars of the City pattern for the release of the final quilt assembly instructions in May! I haven't done a very good job of staying active on social media while working on these—mostly because I slept on my neck weird and couldn't turn my head, but that's sorted itself out—so I wanted to share a proper update on my progress!
I've also figured out how I want to prioritize my progress so I can get as much done as possible before the day of the pattern release arrives!
Check out all the details, including a little sneak peak of the Stars of the Lily Pond layout, by visiting the Fibre Arts blog!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
As promised, this week, I'm taking some time to catch up on the projects I've been working on recently and to reconnect with my seasonal goals to get my priorities in order!
Over the past few weeks, I've worked on a variety of projects, many of which featured hand sewing. Of course, hand stitching is not as fast as working by machine, so I've only managed so much progress, but I'm thrilled to be sharing what I'm working on as well as my plans for the weeks to come!

Hello Friends!
Apologies for the silence over the last few weeks, my sister came down for a visit and though I had planned to take a break from the blog, I forgot to mention it anywhere. Whoops!
Seems I still have a ways to go as far as communication is concerned, but I'm still learning and will continue to learn and do better as time passes!
In that time, I've continued working on my Ice Cream Soda quilt! I wanted to share my favourite block from last week, and sometimes it's fun to check out the seams too!
I'll be sharing the rest of last week's blocks tomorrow in another project update, can't wait to see you there!

Even though I'm planning to limit myself to four Ice Cream Soda blocks a week, I decided to do eight last week so I could finish all of my blocks in progress. This puts me at a total of 16 completed blocks and I can't wait to make more!
