hey! if you're not already aware, my favorite game ever, a boomer shooter called TF2, is currently facing a massive bot problem. bad actors are hosting bot players to farm items and take advantage of the economy, or to go out of their way to disrupt games with cheats like aimbot and wallhacks. an entire game can be put to standstill by 3 sniper bots, and Valve continues to monetize the game despite their several-year long stint of no communication to the community, and no action to stop the bots.
if you'd be willing to take a second, check out this website and sign this petition which will be physically printed and sent to Valve.
a lot of people have a deep love for this game, and it makes me sad that it's made to be as unapproachable as it currently is by people who choose to detract joy from the world because they cannot create it.

What guilt trip? Should you care about your body and the planet, sure, but no one is or can force you to care. When you feel like it just try a few reusable and safer product. It’s best to have a few varieties for the days you don’t want to “sit in blood” (this doesn’t happen with reusable pads/undies). That is presumably based on the wearer keeping track of their changing period (just like a disposable pad. If I don’t change it before it gets “soaked” youll, probably, feel gross and potentially get a rash.
If you don’t have money or want to try something reusable to see if you can even deal with the upkeep just use a (new) microfiber rag. They are a great way to get into the grove of washing by hand (if you’ve never had to). It’s ideal to try that method only on days you are home.
Name brands-Glad rags (no missionaries are funded. Proceeds are directly donated), Thinx (menstrual undies) not all their undies are made the same and I personally stick to the high waisted type, Moon cup (smaller than diva), Cora (any tampon without applicators, or even 100% cotton pads/liners so they actually breakdown when disposed).
i can never see myself going back to disposable pads after trying reusable pads. cloth pads are waay more absorbent, breathable and comfortable that i don’t feel like i have any pad on. i also thankfully dont get any rashes, redness or irritations from the cloth pads
i know it can be very intimidating to switch but at least try ONE PAD so you can try it before you judge it!
Howdy! Your work is absolutely incredible 😍 do you have a store to purchase from or are all your quilts custom/commissions?
I have an Etsy shop with smaller items in it, but the biggest majority is custom work on other people’s quilt tops or commissioned creations. Thanks for asking!
