i know this question isn't from today but since doing renders is one of my main gigs for my simblr, i still wanna answer this! :D it's a bit of a long answer so i put it below the cut! also hope it's not too much rambling, my english skills are taking a day off today v.v

i think my favorite part of doing renders is building the scene itself bc in blender you basically start out with an empty canvas in a way. so you can do whatever you want and i love that. i don't really plan out my render that much before i start (i only have a list of vague ideas lmao) and i look at some pictures for inspo at first to choose what kind of vibe my render is supposed to have. then i start building the scene and pick out assets as i go (it's probably not the most efficient way of doing it but it works for me lmao). there might be some pre-render planning if i have a specific sim i want to do a render of though.

i love when the scene kind of "happens" and starts to come together? it's hard to explain. but yeah, building the scene - my favorite thing about rendering. it can be very tedious at times but it strangely calms down my anxiety to keep my brain occupied with this, haha :]

my least favorite part of rendering is probably posing hands (i don't use poses at all, always pose sims the way i need myself) and also faces, getting facial expressions right is kinda hard for me, don't know why. oh and also waiting for it to actually render out the picture (and i render in eevee i might add and that takes a fraction of the time it would take in cycles lmao, i'm not the most patient person in that regard)

i don't really have a render i absolutely don't like so here are my favorites:
