Journalist Hassan Hamad documents rescue efforts by first responders and hundreds of civilians after the Khala family home in Jabaliya was bombed. Dozens remain trapped under rubble, and no heavy equipment or power tools are available to reach them. People are using their hands to heave concrete and twisted metal in hopes of rescuing survivors and recovering martyrs.
🇵🇸 #Palestine - 🇮🇱 #Israel: Footage has emerged showing the aftermath of Israeli bombing on an IDP camp in Gaza’s Rafah area tonight. The bombing reportedly started fires throughout the camp, with dozens of civilians killed.
The International Court of Justice told Israel to immediately halt its attack on Rafah. So Israel decided to bomb a UN tent camp.
We are witnessing beheaded children being pulled out of a a sea of burning tents. We are witnessing the bombing of displaced people in a humanitarian area.
I didn’t think we could see anything more brutal than the things we’ve seen in the last eight months. But tonight’s massacre in Rafah is unspeakable. There are truly no words left.
If you cannot stop the injustice, please, at least speak up about it.
Israel holds thousands of Palestinians as de facto hostages. According to the Israel Prison Service, 3,661 of its 9,312 “security” inmates are held without charge or trial as “administrative detainees.”
“In administrative detention, a person is held without trial without having committed an offense, on the grounds that he or she plans to break the law in the future. As this measure is supposed to be preventive, it has no time limit. The person is detained without legal proceedings, by order of the regional military commander, based on classified evidence that is not revealed to them. This leaves the detainees helpless – facing unknown allegations with no way to disprove them, not knowing when they will be released, and without being charged, tried or convicted.”
"Israel routinely uses administrative detention and has, over the years, placed thousands of Palestinians behind bars for periods ranging from several months to several years, without charging them, without telling them what they are accused of, and without disclosing the alleged evidence to them or to their lawyers.”
reminder that donating just a few $ to gofundme campaigns actually helps, you don't have to donate huge amounts if you don't have the funds, every little bit is useful. give $10, $5, even $1. it all adds up. don't scroll past because you think you can't help. help in your own capacity. donate a dollar. share and speak up.
someone I follow on the bird app just announced they're starting a very exclusive private fic server because they and a bunch of other people want to talk about how much they love the fics they're reading, and as an author can I just say that a really great place to talk about a fic you love is in the comments for that fic
I understand that people are trying to create safe spaces, but as the number of comments that I get on my fics dwindles with each passing year, knowing these spaces exist where my fics are being discussed, places that I am excluded from, makes me want to write fic LESS
I mean I guess who cares, right, because if I stop writing, there's 10,000 other people that will continue...but if you participate in a fic "book club" server and you say nice things there about a fic you loved, maybe copy and paste that into a comment on AO3?
the only thing fanfic writers are asking for in return for hours of hard work is attention. please don't rob us of the one thing that we hope for when we hit "post"

I can’t believe the things I’m seeing tbh I can’t believe this is literally being filmed and posted and no one has done anything for almost a full year . Not that people should have to document the (real) beheading of their own children to be heard, but these accounts share the extent of the massacre and I genuinely cant believe I get to like casually carry on with my life after donating a few dollars a day AND STILL SOME PEOPLE THINK DONATING A FEW DOLLARS IS TOO MUCH WORK.
There are literally newborns being bombed before they're even named, children wasting away, and men and women burning alive . AND ppl on tumblr are still in the notes of donation escape funds that were verified by Palestinians talking about some “I can’t afford to donate”
I refuse to believe 5 dollars will break you tbh get ur shit together
