i'm abt halfway through season 1 of tma (i think?) and i just wanted to say it's so fucking funny how jon puts his whole archivussy into voice-acting every story, then after 20 minutes of stellar in-character acting he just goes "well that was fucking stupid innit, seek psychiatric help lmfaoo" and ends the episode

Random question but, What was your first impressions of tma when you first started listening? quite curious abt this one lmao

the first time I started listening to it, jon's voice kept lulling me to sleep so I didn't get anywhere farther than ep 11 haha

the second time I started listening, I still really like jon's voice. though if you want like an actual first impressions, i have a liveblogging thread per season somewhere tagged under tma liveposting

Sanji has his "oh... hes kind of..." moment for 0.0000210 seconds before grabbing that thought bubble with a vice grip so poeerful the hydraulic press weeps in envy and flings it out to see over the side of the deck and it lands 50 kilometers away killing 100 fish in the following impact. And then later that night Zoro puts a hand on his thigh and he a) gets so hard he gets nauseous and b) slams his face so hard into the table that he knocks himself unconscious in the hopes by the time he wakes up all his memories of at least tonight will be gone and his gay realization crisis moment will be postponed for another year. Unfortunately he wakes up ten minutes later with his forehead bleeding and memories entact and the only reason why he doesn't fling himself off the side of the ship and go live on a deserted island forever is because Luffy would be sad. Aaaand send post.

Sort of talked about this in my last post but ! I really want to see more persian representation in media, specifically animation. Really disheartening when most of the "popular" animated movies taking place in west asia are about war, revolution or just generally orientalist D: Hopefully one day that'll change !!
