The Community In Bloom program here in Singapore is a wonderful government initiative operating for over 13 years and geared towards providing full support to both newly forming and established community gardens.

The Giving Garden was fabulous to walk around with Azza, Uma and the team. This community garden has been built on an old rooftop car park in the middle of high rise residential towers and provides loads of nourishing food to all of the residents.

If Singapore with its high density living can prioritise space for food growing over car parks and provide such a great level of ongoing support for community gardens we really need to get our act together in Australia - we have space everywhere in comparison!
