vss culture is being pretty sure it paradoxically gave you better night vision because you had to concentrate more to see and now even in super dark spaces you're able to process differing "layers" of shadows and can thus avoid obstacles while everyone else keeps bumping into stuff

vss culture is not realizing you have it until you're 20 when you see a post talking about it, and when you talk to your family about it, your parents are just super confused and somewhat concerned about you "seeing things"

vss culture was as a kid, pretending that there was this huge medieval army fighting whenever you looked down at tiles because the static seemed to travel along the lines in between the arrows in a way which kinda looked like arrows

VSS culture is headcanon'ing that your favourite characters have VSS, as there is literally no characters that canonically have Visual Snow Syndrome.
One my many OCs from a project I'm working on has VSS!

Hey, I saw your visual snow syndrome post and I thought I'd share a cool website where you can simulate what it looks like! You can adjust the size of the grain, the density, and the speed. And there are different images to choose from (great for night vs day comparison)
http://visionsimulations.com/visual-snow.htm?background=field.jpg&density=0.11&speed=63&grainsize=1.912
Ooooo I'll have to check it out
