We often get calls to our office saying, “My carbon monoxide alarm is beeping but i don’t smell anything and I don’t want to make a fuss and bother the fire department. Can you come and check it out?” Our answer is always, “Call 911 and get out of your home.” Remember that you can’t smell, see, or taste CO, your alarm is your only indicator that something may be wrong. If it’s starts sounding, get everyone outside to fresh air and call 911. CO is an emergency and is a legitimate reason to call 911.
