Who You Really Are

When Moana arrives at Te Fiti to confront Te Ka and bring back the heart of the goddess, she does not defeat the villain, she HEALS her.

“I know who you are,” she says. “Who you really are.” And what could be more restorative, in all the world? And what else could cause the burning, barren land to grow green and gentle again, and draw the poison from the sea?

I cried when it happened. I wept and wept, at the healing of the goddess, brought about by being seen and known by the young woman, seen and known and loved.

I have this soaring hope that this is what will happen for Sherlock as well, that all the burning will be quenched and the poison will be drawn when he is finally seen and known and loved…for who he really is.
