Important Announcement!
It is with a heavy heart that I say I am done writing on Tumblr.
I gave it a lot of thought, and I realized that it would be best for me to stop writing. I just don't have the time, and all the stories I have written over the years have just drained my creativity. I can't go on writing asks anymore, which is why (I am sorry to those who sent me some) I am clearing out my inventory. If I return to write, it will be my own ideas. But again, motivation has been gone for a while.
I am not getting rid of my accounts. I want people to appreciate all the ideas and stories my precious followers have helped me create. Speaking of that, I never wanted to ghost you guys because I am super stoked that you read and liked what I wrote, which is why I type up this announcement with a heavy heart.
Furthermore, I am moving my favorite and most popular works from some of my fandoms to my Archiveofourown (The_Ginger_Masquerader45) account. And that is where I might continue to write my own stories for my fandoms, which I might copy over to Tumblr.
Until then, I thank you all for being wonderful! And I hope you live your lives to the fullest!

Hello! I hope you're doing well! I was wondering if you had any headcannons about the rider getting along with the Swarm? Like sometimes they invite the rider to their hangouts just to piss Kyle off. I feel like they'd do that.
Sure!
In order of youngest to oldest:
Kyle
Levi
Robin
Isaac
Aeon
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Rider Getting Along with the Swarm (AKA Kyle's Brothers) Headcanons
-Kyle will always be a main target of his brothers' teasing and pranks, but you were a hit or miss nowadays. Maybe because they have grown actual respect for you? Or maybe it was just to get under Kyle's skin? Whatever the reason, they tend to include you on certain things.
-Being older, these boys tend to hang around the bars a lot with the other hunters. No nefarious activities are going on, but it's definitely a hangout for the older ones. Despite that, they still will invite you along so you can tell them some epic tales about how you once defeated a Fatalis. When Kyle asks why he didn't get invited, they simply say he's too young.
-Since he's practically the same age as you, Kyle knows they are doing this to bug him.
-Sometimes just one of the brothers will want to hang with you. Like Aeon, sometimes he's willing to teach you how to use (your weapon of choice) if you ask. Robin is always wanting to see your monsties, though he tries to hide his excitement. Isaac and Levi don't hesitate to tell you more about Kyle if you ask.
-You will also feel bad at times when Kyle is excluded, so you will occasionally turn down the swarm's offers to make sure the youngest brother feels included. His brothers don't see the big deal, but Kyle is your friend too.
-The swarm will sometimes include you on certain jokes and pranks. Your monsties help out a lot during these moments, making riders have a better view in the eyes of, well, these hunters anyways.
-If you and Kyle are in a relationship, his brothers will be extra persistent when it comes to dragging you away. They want all the details so they can tease their little brother.
-Kyle worries that you may end up becoming like his brothers, which frightens him because then he will have no one to escape to (besides Reverto and that's NOT really an escape), but thankfully, when you hang out with him, he barely notices the influences of his brothers.
-Barely.

Im thinking of posting my dedicated stories on here, like a whole new tumblr just for the stories. Should i post the link or do the individual chapters?
Awesome!
I think either would be good! The links may be easier to do

For part 2 of catching feels. Kyle now know the rider basically has no one and has tsukino keep tabs when he hears the rider is going after a nergigante (with cheval) he not only climbs and finds the secret wyvern village. But is relieved to see and hear the rider okay.
That is until he hears the rider yelling at cheval (honestly cheval was fixated on the nergigante not the rider from what it seems in game.) and then the rider sees kyle and insults cheval by saying “at least kyle’s better AND HE’S A HUNTER AND I RATHER TEAM UP WITH HIM!!” before dragging kyle away to help them find the nergigante nest for its egg. (Just a lil hc that nergigante was only a pain due to trying to get extra food cause its partner was dead. Thats why it was causing issues and the rider understood but cheval didn’t and they ended up killing it due to cheval constantly going after it without understanding it.)
You're right about my boi Cheval, man was more obsessive. And I love how long it took them to realize that the ELDER DRAGON EATER was after an elder dragon XD like, ever hear of Zorah Magdaros and the Nergigante
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Catching Feelings (Part 2)
You were still on Kyle's mind when he reaches Nua Te to see you, and whilst there, you drag him on another adventure. But wait, why does it make him feel weird?
Tumblr media
Ever since he found out you had no family, Kyle has been jumping from thought to thought. He didn't quite know what to think of the situation as a whole, but all he did know was that he felt different around you. The hunter couldn't quite explain it. All he did know was that he felt a sudden emptiness when you guys parted ways after the Rage-Rayed Mizutsune.
But Kyle was just glad he's reached an understanding when it comes to Ratha. He gets it now why you feel so attached to the monster.
It still bothered him that you had no family. In fact, Kyle couldn't even focus on the pits because of it. It got to the point where Tsukino had to be in charge of things because he was too busy thinking about you.
That's why he's heading to the secret wyverian village in the mountains, Nua Te.
"I got intel that Y/N is heading after a Nergigante-along with another rider." The palico told him with a grin after seeing Kyle's relieved face.
"That's not a monster that should be taken lightly. I'm going to help Y/N." Kyle said without hesitation, and Tsukino put her paws on her hips.
"Is that the only reason you are going-or do I detect a hint of jealousy?" Tsukino teased him and Kyle balled his fists by his sides while his face turned slightly red.
"Shut up."
Kyle certainly wasn't worried about you having a companion. In fact, he was glad that you weren't on your own right now. But there was a feeling in his chest that irked him when he knew that your other companion was not him, but rather a stranger. It was one of the main reasons that he was climbing up the cliffside to a village that would most likely throw him out. He needed to know and see that you were okay.
And true to what he was thinking, the wyverians were very cold to him and Tsukino. However, the felyne was very quick to tell them that they knew you. And somehow, they seemed to ease up a little.
"Where do you think Y/N is?" Kyle asked and Tsukino shrugged. Honestly, you could be anywhere outside the village looking for the elder dragon. In fact, you could be in the middle of fighting it right now.
"You are impossible to be around!"
"Found Y/N." Tsukino said with a grin when your voice echoed from the village entrance. The hunter and palico duo were quick to rush that way to find you, angry (kind of like how you got with Kyle before) and shouting at another older red-haired male, who looked equally annoyed. Kyle guessed that this was the other rider you were working with, or trying to.
"Me? I'm just trying to help you! Your selfish obsession with this monster is hurting Ratha!" The man said back to you.
"You mean YOUR obsession! It's you who's tracking the monster, not me! I could care less about where that Nergigante was! I didn't give it a thought before it stood in my way to help uncover Ratha's secret!" You shouted back, roughly poking the older man in the chest. In fact, your actions made Kyle feel rather proud.
"That monster never needed to be slain. It was just following its instincts. It...it had a family." You said, backing away a bit and putting a hand over your heart. The other rider, hesitated a bit before looking at the wall.
It was then that Kyle decided to make his presence known.
"Kyle!" You said happily, and for some reason it made his heart jump for joy. The (rather handsome) red-haired rider looked over at the hunter with a curious expression. However, you shot the older male a glare and ran over to Kyle.
"Well Cheval, I'd rather team up with Kyle, and guess what, he's a hunter!" You shouted at your companion, who simply rolled his eyes and walked off. But you paid him no mind. Instead, you grabbed Kyle's hand and ran back out into the wilds.
Kyle didn't understand, but all he could focus on was your hand touching his.
"So...you want to tell me what we're doing?" Kyle asked. You had dragged him out of there so fast that neither Tsukino nor Navirou had time to follow. Only Ratha was glued to your hip and followed you both.
"We're looking for a Nergigante nest." You explained simply while folding your arms and looking away. Kyle didn't need to say more. He knew that you wanted to save that egg because if you didn't...then the egg would...
"I don't know how much you overheard, but that was Cheval, the rider helping me. We just got into a disagreement." You explained, peering through foliage and avoiding large monsters. Kyle was looking around too, eyeing crevices in the rocks for signs of elder dragon activity.
"Sounded more than a disagreement." Kyle said and you shrugged.
"He just didn't understand the Nergigante. It was just hunting more because it had a family to feed...called me obsessed over it while he was the one hunting it. It was just..." You huffed, showing your irritation.
"Why would he think you're obsessed?" The hunter asked and your walking slowed as your eyes glanced down.
"It's the same monster that killed my grandfather..."
You could practically hear the breeze running through the valley due to the silence both of you held. Honestly, Kyle didn't know how to respond to that. He's come close to losing someone, but he's never had to...comfort...another person like this. However, his instincts acted out.
He gently patted your shoulder and you smiled softly at him.
But before you could say anything else, Ratha sensed something and ran past both of you. Alarmed, the two of you ran after him to see that Ratha found the nest you were looking for. But the most alarming thing of all was the already dead Nergigante corpse that was laying beside the nest. Kyle widened his eyes and your hand went to your heart.
"So...my hunch was right. That other monster was the only one able to get food for its family. Its partner had been..." You shook your head and walked up to the nest, taking an egg after patting Ratha on the head and praising him for finding this.
"You gonna make it your monstie." Kyle asked and you nodded.
"This Nergigante is a part of my family now. No one should be alone." You said while looking at the egg and walking off, Ratha following. Kyle watched you leave before starting to follow, again more of these thoughts were in his head.
You were raised alone which is why your monsties were so important to you. You didn't want any other living thing to go through what you went through. Because of this, monsters were an important part of your life. They act on instinct, and don't leave or fight with you if you have a disagreement with them.
Well, Kyle's going to walk right up to Cheval and tell him that he can leave now. You have a hunter by your side.
And for some reason, the very thought filled Kyle with much pride.

Oh i got a good one inspired by one of your asks.
The moments leading kyle to catching feelings. Lets do the beginning.
Basically during the whole cat arc. Kyle and the rider get into a fight basically of kyle distrusting young ratha and the rider snaps back that “they are their only family how would you feel if someone constantly told you not to trust your family” which is the beginning as kyle discovers the rider is doing this on their own no support unlike him with his family as he questions about the rider basically being raised by the village and having no parents or siblings.
Sounds good!
Part 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Catching Feelings (Part 1)
An altercation in Pomore Garden leads Kyle to discovering some things, and then questioning a whole lot more.
Tumblr media
The atmosphere of Pomore Garden was light and cheerful, like a piece of heaven has fallen to earth. The coral birds were flying about with some other endemic life scuttling about. One could even hear the Crimson Quropecos making their calls, and if one looked closely, a Green Nargacuga could be seen disappearing into the underbrush. Even the Lagiacrus out at sea were surfacing to breath now and again.
It was truly beautiful and elegant...except for the bustling activity outside the Felyne Shelter.
Right now, a young hunter and a young rider were in the middle of a spat. Kyle, the hunter, and Y/N, the rider, were on a mission to investigate the coast of Pomore. However, even while bickering was common between the two of you, it got to the point where even the predators of the land went to hide. Heck, even Navirou and Tsukino decided to walk on ahead.
"That was so unnecessary!" You shouted at him, each step you took had more force than intended. Kyle just huffed.
"I meant what I said...I don't trust that Rathalos." The hunter growled, side eyeing the monster as it stomped behind you guys, keeping closer to you.
"You aren't touching him." You growled, stopping in your tracks to properly face him. Everyone else stopped as well.
"Buddy-Hmph!" Navirou went to try and intervene, but Tsukino came and put her paws around his mouth to shut him up.
"This is between them." She said in a hushed tone whilst backing them both away. With his mouth still covered, Navirou could only nod and watch.
"How can you have such trust to a monster that nearly destroyed an entire village?! Rathalos are nothing but dangerous beasts! Do you want lives to be lost?" Kyle growled. You seemed to think of no one else but you and that monster.
He didn't understand. To Kyle, you have officially lost your mind.
And oh you have, just not in the way he was thinking.
You curled your fists by your sides until your knuckles turned white. Your face was red from anger as you did everything in your power to keep yourself from cussing him out. So many thoughts were in your mind, so many comebacks. Kyle, thinking he won this argument, just smugly huffed and turned on his feet to keep walking.
But you were quick to grab him by the collar and spun him around to face you. You had your hands on his shoulders, you guys were practically nose to nose, and Kyle would be lying if he wasn't a little bit scared by the look in your eyes.
But your voice...was surprisingly soft.
"Ratha is the only family I have...all I got since my grandpa passed...and you're telling me not to trust him? Trust is all a family has in the end to keep them together. All I can do is trust him...wouldn't you trust your family? How would you feel if someone told you that your family was cursed? Wouldn't you defend them?" You said, and before he could say anything, you let him go and walked on with Ratha right behind you.
For the first time since he met you, Kyle was speechless.
You really don't have parents? Kyle could've have sworn that he heard them mentioned before. Or was that someone else? Kyle was left with nothing but questions, and you had apparently left him in the dust.
"Nicely done Kyle." Tsukino's voice came out of nowhere and Kyle whipped around to see her standing behind him with her arms crossed, whiskers twitching in irritation.
"What did you want me say?" He asked her, annoyed.
"Nothing would have been preferable." She said with a shrug before walking in the general direction you went. Kyle stood there, alone, for a few moments before deciding to drag his feet and follow.
But his mind was swarmed with thoughts.
You really had no family, huh? No parents, no siblings, and no grandparents. Well, not anymore. All you had was the whole village to raise you. Maybe that's why that village was so important to you, they were the people who raised you. To riders, monsties are a part of that family. So for you, Ratha was all you had with you right now. You had no support right now, and here he was being an absolute jerk to you.
It made a guilty blush come to his face and he frowned.
But why? Why did he feel guilty? It made him feel bad that you were on your own, but it doesn't affect his life. He still had his family, and he should be grateful for that. In all honesty, he didn't know what he would do if he had no one.
Kyle tried to imagine facing Guardian Ratha alone that night.
It made his blood run cold.
His feet were heavy as he dragged himself to the coast where you were no doubt waiting with the others. Kyle still didn't understand why this was affecting him so. Hunters and riders will always have differences, so why was this any different from usual?
"So, you finally made it?"
Your voice snapped him out of his thoughts as he looked up to see he was already at the coast. The sun was setting as the waves lapped against the rocky shore. You were standing there with your arms crossed, Ratha beside you.
"Yeah. I..." His voice trailed off a little as he glanced up at you. The way the sun glistened off your hair. The way droplets of seawater made it glow even more. The way the cold sea breeze made your cheeks a little red. The way your eyes...your skin...
Kyle felt his face heat up a little.
Oh...
Oh no...

Elder dragon S/O anon again, what if the boys and girl found their malzeno s/o in the middle of feeding?
Sure!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Waifus (Kyle, Reverto, Cheval, Alwin, Lilia, Ena, Kayna, and Avinia) React to Finding Their Malzeno S/O in the Middle of Feeding
Kyle
-Fear. Honestly, he wouldn't know what to do. Kyle has always been cautious around monsters, whether it's elder dragons to the konchus. So, of course he is going to be careful around you when you feeding on some poor monster that you caught. He wasn't about to get caught up with those blood-sucking Qurio, and he makes that well and clear to Tsukino, who persuades him to try and get close to you for teasing reasons. But still, his heart is pounding when he watches you feed. It just reminds him of your hostility.
Reverto
-Pride. He's just like "yeah, that's my super amazing terrifying S/O over there!" Reverto, on a general note, knows that monsters need to eat in order to survive. Heck, he gave that whole speech about how lives are taken in order to prolong others. Nothing ever disturbs him about you, even though this Qurio things kind of look like bugs. Yeah, Reverto is kind of scared of them just for that reason. He also knows to give you your space because monsters, even ones like you, could grow territorial when it comes to their kill. So, out of respect, he keeps his distance until you're done.
Cheval
-Wary. Sure, he's known you for a while and he's aware of how sweet you can be, even for an elder dragon. Despite that, he gets wary when you bring home your dinner because it's a reminder of what you are. Not that it's bad, but Cheval is seeing your power and sometimes it scares him. The Qurio have driven you mad once or twice, and they even tried to harm Rathi at one point, so Cheval gets worried when he sees you feed because he knows that those little red creatures were a part of it. He doesn't want to see you or anyone get hurt. So, while you eat, he keeps his distance and watches over you.
Alwin
-Disturbed. As a wyverian, no one has a greater connection to nature than Alwin. So, your bond with him is pretty strong due to that regard. However, seeing you act so bestially when it comes to your food makes his spine shiver. Not only that, but for some reason you are most comfortable around him when you feed. Alwin tries to give you space, but you always drag him back to the corpse of some poor monster to get him to eat with you. Sometimes he gives in, and sometimes he's just all rigid as you and the Qurio enjoy your meal. Alwin can't fault you for what you are though, and loves you all the same, even if it makes him uneasy sometimes.
Lilia
-Fascinated. We all saw this reaction coming from her. Being the commander of the Scrivener's Guild in Lulucion, it's her duty to study rare monsters and the behavior of elder dragons. Luckily, you already gave her permission to write down anything you do and make it apart of her research. You want to help her out after all. That being said, sometimes Lilia does get too up in your face when you want to eat. The Qurio even get a little agitated with how close she gets. You don't want to her to get hurt (you love her after all), but you have some boundaries. This usually leads to you picking her up and putting her on a tree until you are done.
Ena
-Worried. Ena is a gentle soul and the way you feed is not so gentle. You use the Qurio to drain the life out of your victims, something that makes her skin crawl. She tries her best to remember that this is all part of nature, but she can't help but feel worried about you sometimes. Hunters could come after you anytime you affect something in the ecosystem, and Ena feels like she wouldn't be able to protect you (even thought you are a powerful elder dragon). She pleads for you to tone down your feeding frenzy whenever you can, and you might just have to try for her sake.
Kayna
-Enthralled. Kayna is one who loves adventure and thrill rides, so to have you be so good at hunting always manages to catch your attention. The Qurio and your methods of hunting your prey don't seem to even bother her, and sometimes, she will even help you if you are hungry. The sight doesn't make her sick or anything, Avmar is a messy carnivore after all. Sometimes you even allow the two to share your food as you feed. You love Kayna, so you have no qualms about her being there during these times of your day when you feed. She just needs to learn not to take too much from you. Or else.
Avinia
-Nonchalant. Avinia is just a logical person, and she knows that everybody eats. She isn't bothered by it or worried about it or so forth. So long as you keep yourself from causing trouble for her, she doesn't mind. And by trouble, Avinia means the Qurio getting out of hand and disrupting the ecosystem. Frostfang doesn't want to bust his butt and deal with any of that, and neither does Avinia. She cares about you and understands your needs, but just don't feed so close to the village. She'll also respect this time of yours and give you some distance.

I have a little headcanon that Kyle is like, super afraid of fire mainly because of the whole Guardian Ratha thing
I completely agree! Not only did he get hurt, but his dad nearly died! That kind of trauma, especially for someone Kyle's age, doesn't go away easily.
In similarity to this, I believe the protag has a fear of heights due to the whole airship incident.
They can get over their fears together!

Considering that Riders are now part of or working with the Guild, do you think that burial / funeral honours would be given to monsties who are killed in the line of duty? Normally fallen monsters would be processed for parts or to advance research on their species, but if someone like Flurry or even Hoarfrost falls in battle defending a city, do you think the Guild would give them a ceremonial burial to honor their sacrifice?
I'd like to believe so! I can see it be treated similarly to how we treat service or rescue dogs that have passed away. Like, a huge service is given, respect is made, hunters and riders are lined up to give their peace as they're put to their final resting place.
I feel that the Guild wouldn't dare use such a monster for parts. They owe monsters like the Velkhanas Flurry and Hoarfrost, some sort of final thanks.

I’ve finally finished writing a smaller description of my final siren class, and since I am not one for cliffhangers, allow me.
Iridescent Sirens
Sirens that have developed since earth’s time. They have iridescent scales, with flowing wingarms that reflect a holographic light upon the ground if one is passing. These sirens are aerial, and by far the rarest siren to have ever existed. They elegantly move through the air aside Narwa, Ibushi and Amatsu, and gaining abilities of the storm due to that. They are highly violent and only come down to land for one month, gathered at the highest point of land. Some young Iridescent Sirens will often attempt to explore, and sometimes succeeding. These younglings have next to no chance of survival, as they are killed and harvested upon when they are found. They call out to the skies, luring in wingdrakes and small fliers to slaughter and weaponise their corpse, often dropping the corpse onto a human, causing their death or severe injury. Iridescent Sirens have razor-sharp claws, laced with paralysis-causing venom and a spine running down their back which releases neurotoxins. All Iridescent Sirens that have been sighted vary depending on which Elder they follow. The Amatsu followers tend to take on a few traits of the Amatsu, and for the serpents it is the same.
Iridescent Sirens have a population count of 31 alive, with 13 being adults, and the rest are adolescents or younglings. The reason as to why they are so few in numbers is that hunters travel to where they come down and massacre most of the pack, hence why they no longer travel to the area and now follow their Elder Dragon, and land where their Elder Dragon does. They are also much more violent because of this, often summoning severe weather over hunter towns in seek of vengeance. If an Iridescent Siren gains enough bio-energy and has lived long enough, it may become one of the Serpents they promptly follow, similar to how a Marine Siren can become a Kraken if absorbing enough bioenergy and going 6,000 feet below sea level, or a Leviathan if absorbed enough bioenergy and peacefully resting at a sea level of 300 to 1,000 feet down.
So cool!!! Sounds like they'd also get along with Xenojiva XD

Finale of my rambling. Explaining why the males mimic monster calls and also going a little in depth on Terrestrial sirens.
The males mimic monster calls to cause fear to some people, however a few that are close enough in range (female or male) will be lured. Which then they meet their death, either via venom, boulder, or about 20 lava-dwellers tearing you apart as you burned in the lava.
Terrestrial sirens are the hardest to come by, but they have heavy strength. They often live in caves, and so gained the ability to throw entire stalactites, boulders or sometimes crystals. Like all sirens, Terrestrial leviathans are very much show-offs.
I like the sound of terrestrial sirens XD

Continuing on with the siren headcanons, mainly focusing on Marine and Lava-dwelling sirens.
The males are either at constant war or desperate enough that they’re mating with eachother, humans or trying their damndest to be sneaky. No inbetween. Sirens actually have a pretty long lifeline, but they age the same as humans. Some sirens can even turn into krakens (however it’s only happened twice in the entirety of history, because as stated in the previous ask Epsilon sirens are often killed within a year, and usually an Epsilon siren has the highest chance to even become a kraken.) Now to Marine sirens. They actually glow due to being so deep in the water and they need a light source. Their venom can take out even a Deviljho if in a large enough quantity, however the venom needs to be extracted from a dead siren to get that much venom. Siren fangs were sometimes used as a sorts of better poison arrowhead. Now onto lava-dwellers. Lava-dwellers are much smaller and have magma all across their body. They swarm in one large lava pool and instead of venom or brute strength, they spit magma. Also, sirens in general, hate the smell of onions. They will cry if you have an onion near them.
Lava-dwelling sirens are actually an idea that I haven't thought of. I like em XD

Allow me to dump a few Siren headcanons. This isn’t because you got it wring in your stories, you actually got it extremely accurate. I just wanna share a few headcanons. :)
There’s three types of sirens. Marine, Terrestial and Lava-dwelling. Terrestrial sirens are the hardest to come across, followed by Marine sirens as both of them are either very secluded or were killed before someone had the chance to see them. Lava-dwelling sirens are the easiest to come across, as you can see large packs of them in one lava pool. Marine sirens are considered the most violent, and the Lava-dwellers are skittish with the Terrestrials being the middle-ground. Marine sirens are solitary, Terrestrials are usually seen in groups of 3 to 4, while swarms, typically going up to 30 in numbers, of Lava-dwellers occupy the same lava pool. Males have a sorts of ‘ranking’ system for them. Epsilon, Alpha, Beta and Delta. Epsilon sirens are the alphas of practically the entire region, having outlived and outbred all of the sirens. Epsilons usually get assasinated within a year. Alphas are leaders of a pack (6 to 10, or 20 to 40 for Lava-dwellers.) which means they’re a force to be reckoned with. Betas are the males in a pack that are usually bullied by the alpha, causing them to leave the area. Delta sirens are by far the hardest to come across, mainly because they’re killed off rather quickly. Delta sirens are the middle ground of alpha and beta, but are solitary and closer to the shore hence why they get killed quickly. Some sirens become desperate to where they mate with a human, but same-sex is rather uncommon. Some males even mate with other male sirens, or disguise as females in order to be sneaky. Delta sirens are the ones that are typically desperate because most sirens will never shore, which leads to instances of monster calls being mimicked and people dying. All sirens will never touch land unless they found their love. Also, they’re monogamous. Long story short, Kyle is a lucky, lucky boy.
Oooooo, I like having headcanons about mythical monsters! In fact, it's my favorite thing to write about when I'm not here on Tumblr XD
And glad I did a good job! Thank you!

Really!? I have yet to notice this!
But it makes sense that the other riders, like Cheval, should be able to use the Rite of Channeling to improve their monsties and such
