Interest Check for a Pliroy Event!

Hello everyone! We’re in the midst of planning a Pliroy event and we want to check in and see if there’s any interest this year. Please take a look at this form and fill it out if you’re interested.

This form will be available until May 15th, 2023 at 6PM EDT. From there we will go over the results and if there’s enough interest, we will move onto the next phase which will be creating the announcement of which event was chosen. We will start sorting out the prompts or the Prompt Voting form.

Rare Pair Week is wrapping up today, but I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has been involved in any way. It was a hectic year for a lot of us, so not as much happened with the event, but there are several pieces posted and more that will be soon, so this is wrap-up #1, since I know I will do a second.

Can we also write for a non-shippy pairing? Like Yurio & Nishigori triplets or Yakov & Georgi?

Definitely! If you just want to write platonic ships, ie: friends and families/friend of families; Go for it! Please create what you want.

Could you define what you mean by rarepair?

Because there are a few canon pairs (Takeshi/Yuuko and Yakov/Lilia) that don't have many fics written where they're the main ship even though they're pretty common. Would these be considered rarepairs?

Of course! I will be updating the FAQ, but for our purposes, we are trying to be as absolutely inclusive as possible. With the status of Nikiforov/Katsuki as being THE ship of the fandom, even the second most popular ship (Altin/Plisetsky) is lacking in content that isn't 'oh they're in the background' - so for our event this year, we are going to do what we did last year and Include OtaYuri, which means EVERY ship aside from Victuuri is included in our event. We re-evaluate this every year, but feel this year being as inclusive as possible will be best :) Of course, every year, I personally hope we end up having at least one piece that is a brand new ship tag. I believe we have a 3-year streak of managing that :) ~Alex

Rare Pair Wrap Up!

Wow so YOI Rare Pair Week 2022 is already over!

This year, so far, we have had 19 works added to the collection.

We added two new tags to the fandom and some absolutely amazing works! In true 2022 fashion, it's not over!

Today I am going to close the 2021 collection which means this 2022 collection will be remaining open until I remember to close it next year.

I want to thank my co-mod Robin for how she really stepped up when I got slapped with a migraine.
