Saying goodbye to Shake Shack.
There is no Shake Shack in Seattle. None.
Tumblr media
And normally that shouldn’t cause any reason for panic of concern. But when you’re graduate school is situated a mere three minute walk from a Shake Shack that stays open till 11PM, you start to develop a dependency. Today I say goodbye to Shake Shack and my shroom burger with fries and a strawberry shake.  There are too many restaurants I still need to say goodbye and hello to in New York. Goodbye Shake Shack. Featuring the amazing Chris Hall.

Saying goodbye to my lovely lovely Spelman Sister.
-- MY FACEBOOK POST -- Just want to take a minute and praise this person for everything that they are.AriDy Nox. GIRL. My Spelman sister. Your star is shining so bright it is blinding. CONGRATULATIONS on a spectacular, technically-accurate thesis performance. You are officially on your way to a masters in musical theatre writing from THE Tisch School of the Arts. You did that. You DID that. I fell in love with T today, and your amazing musical. This work is just the beginning of the many great things to come. I am so incredibly grateful to the goddesses that be, that of all the beautiful Spelman sisters that I could share a graduate school with, I got you.I knew her when, y’all. I knew her when.
--- When I graduated from Spelman, our president gave a speech highlighting the next steps for students within my graduating class. “ And we have a student going to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts to study Musical Theatre Writing. “  My friends and family all looked at me afterwords.  “Yes she is talking about me.” I told them. “She just got the degree wrong.” No.  Little did I know that two floors below at Tisch, I had a soon-to-be lifelong sister and friend.  I love my Spelman sisters. I do.  I am so sad to say goodbye to this one. But I know I’ll be back when she makes it to the Broadway outside of 721 Broadway.
