Whose job is it to notify the mortal families of the death of a half-blood? Like, does Chiron just quick call their mortal parent up on the phone? Is it Mr D's job, as camp director? Does their godly parent have to go do it, one final responsibility for the kid they thrust into the life of their once-lover?

Bc like Chiron is clearly in touch with Sally and I think even Annabeth's dad, right? But I don't think he told Sally when Percy was missing-presumed-dead in botl? Like it's Percy's responsibility to check in with his mom when he gets back, so that implies Chiron hadn't like told her they were having a funeral for him. But they'd only presumed him dead, and a god would know, so is it the god's job to reach out????

hey neil idk if you’re the best person to ask but i would like to think you have some sadge advice or something. as an introvert how do you deal with going to funerals and that whole interaction with people trying to support people and people trying to support you? It’s all strange and weird to me. thanks.

You remind yourself that this is not a usual thing for anyone, and that everyone is dealing with their own personal reactions to what's happened, with grief or loss or just the weirdness of it all. And you look after yourself.

And take refuge in things that people say. "I'm sorry for your loss", or "May their memory be a blessing" or "Thank you so much" when people offer their own condolences. It's formulaic but it works.

So I know you created the character for the Lucifer TV show but does that mean he is within the same universe as the Sandman and DBD? Or did he become his own thing by the showrunners?

He's his own thing. The Lucifer of Sandman is Gwendoline Christie.

That being said, it's perfectly conceivable that Dead Boy Detectives occurs adjacent to the Lucifer universe.
