JEONGHAN: i feel like he realizes early on, but he doesn't tell you lmfao he likes messing with you, so he'll be like, "alright, see you in a bit!" and you're fine until you realize just how many guests are coming in late. he's never too far, though, so once you start looking around, he materializes, easing the cup out of your hand to lace your fingers together. it's cute how the tension literally melts from your shoulders. he doesn't do it much — he hates when you're feeling distressed.

WONWOO: it takes him a long time to notice your habit, to be honest. whenever he pulls you in and introduces you to new people, you fall into the conversation with an easy smile and a charming laugh. the fact that you always slip your hand into his? thought you were just trying to be cute. it isn't until he sees you gripping the edge of seungcheol's sleeve as you talk with a different group that he realizes. after that, he stops wandering off at gatherings in case you need him.

SEOKMIN: he will literally stop talking and ask you what you're doing, and that makes your wrinkle your nose in embarrassment. "nothing," you tell him, hand moving back to your own pocket. but he doesn't mean it maliciously — you just surprised him by grabbing the back of his shirt. the person in front of you excuses themself for a drink while seokmin takes your wrist and tucks it into his elbow. your fingers curl into the fabric as he leads you around. your now relaxed posture doesn't go unnoticed by him.

MINGYU: he likes socializing with people, and people like socializing with him. so whenever you arrive at an event, he'll tell you to wander off on your own while he greets the others. it's not because he doesn't want to be with you — he just feels bad taking up your time. this time, you hover by his shoulder, twiddling your fingers as you ask, "...can i go with you?" why didn't you ask him earlier omg he loves that you're hanging off his arm.

CHAN: he loves when you depend on him. it's like — wow, you trust him enough? he makes you feel safe? so when you ask to hold his hand, skittish amidst the growing crowd, he can't help standing a little straighter. "of course," he says, beaming with all the warmth in the world as you take hold of his sleeve. he takes his role as your pillar very seriously and keeps you behind him as he parts the crowd. it's hard to stay nervous when he keeps squeezing your hands to check in.

JUNHUI: it's funny how i love you came faster than your first kiss, but it did. it's not uncommon for him to press his lips to your knuckles with the fondest look and the softest murmur of your name. he cradles his affection for you and locks it in his heart. at some point, though, as he's lacing his fingers with yours, those three words no longer feel like enough. he tries saying them again, and even with your smile and your i love you, too, he feels like there should be something else. and then it clicks. oh my god, it clicks. he's so stupid. while he's having this revelation, you're still looking at him and you're absolutely radiant in the soft glow of the evening street light, the setting sun a halo around you. he tightens his hold on your hands and tugs you into his chest. "can i kiss you?" he blurts out, nervous but with a strange surety in his eyes. you don't answer — your grin only widens as you move in first, and he realizes that that's what's been missing all along. you pull back, but he's already leaning forward again, chasing after the next kiss.

SOONYOUNG: he truly is a different person on stage. fierce and charismatic, you see what he means by tiger energy, even if his word choice has everyone else rolling their eyes. the moment he flies off the stage and sees you, he erupts into laughs that are only intensified by his adrenaline. his run doesn't falter — you catch him in your arms, a small oomph! escaping as he literally knocks the breath out of you. “did you see me?” he asks, like you could keep your gaze anywhere else. “i did! you were amazing!” you exclaim anyway, and he puffs his chest out at your praise. behind him, seungcheol yells for everyone to get back into positions before following a rushed staff member, and soonyoung bounces on his toes, already ready to go back out there. “watch me, okay?” he yells out, already jogging away before you can answer. at the last second, he spins on his heel and comes back to you. “sorry, can i get a good luck kiss?” you didn’t expect your first kiss to be in front of so many people, but the others are waiting and soonyoung doesn’t look like he’s leaving without it. “fine...go get ‘em, tiger.”

MINGHAO: i can’t decide whether or not he’d be coy with it, but one thing’s for certain: it’ll be the most romantic setting out of all the boys. not deliberately —  you just find yourself on romantic dates often because that’s how minghao is. case in point, you’re currently on a boat, reclining on a chair with a half-filled glass of wine on one side and the setting sun on the other. you’re lucky, you think far too often. beside you, minghao looks off into the coast, sunglasses perched on the tip of his nose. you don’t know how it hasn’t fallen off all day. he doesn’t say anything as the light fades into hues of pinks and violets, and neither do you, content to feel the gently rocking waves. it’s not until the sun is fully gone, the evening breeze starting to cool your arms, that he moves. he sips at his glass before turning to you. “i just realized something,” he says. “yeah? what is it?” “i really want to kiss you.” he slides his shades onto his hair, and the softness of his eyes makes you curl your fingers into your seat cushion. “no one’s stopping you.”

CHAN: he asked you to meet him at the gose filmset so that he can walk you home, but you come earlier than expected and wait for him behind the cameras. occasionally, he glances over at you, and you hear a PD tsk at how that has to be edited out. you're not too worried about it — this has happened a few times already, and you're not in danger of being banned from set...yet. when he's done, he bounces over, takes your hand, and leads you to a less crowded corner. "i'm guessing your day went well?" you laugh as he beams. his energy is as infectious as always. "it's even better now that you're here," he says, pulling you in for a hug. you love when he looks like this: hair pushed out of his face, eyes reflecting the love he has for work. the love he has for you. something about it makes you tilt your head and tug on his shirt, and somehow, he gets the message because he leans forward for a kiss he can't stop smiling through. behind you, there's an awkward cough. one of the sound directors taps their collar and asks chan if he's ready to take off the microphone. you're lucky that the sound directors are easier to swear into secrecy.

BX/Byounggon: 

His eyes were half closed and his breathing was heavy, but Byounggon was entirely too comfortable to get up and actually get ready for bed. His head on your chest? That was his safe spot and he just refused to get up and get ready for bed… until your fingers threading through his hair stopped. 

“Why’d you stop?” He asked, lifting his head to look at you. He thought maybe you had already fallen asleep, but no you were simply looking at him. “I need you to get ready for bed.” You said, tone serious. “I don’t wanna. I’m gonna sleep in this.” He mumbled putting his head back down on your chest. “No, I really need you to do something for me.” You whined and by listening to your tone, he could tell you meant it. 

“What do you need me to do?” Byounggon adjusted himself, looking you in the eyes as you felt heat rise to your cheeks. “I need to wear the sweater I stole from you to bed tonight… it doesn’t smell like you anymore and I really need it to smell like you.” You admitted, kind of embarassed at the request but still quite meaning it. Now, he didn’t know how to respond. This was quite the sweetest thing someone had ever asked him to do. 

“I’m getting ready for bed right now. Where’s that sweater?” 

Seunghun: 

“You sound sad.” Seunghun commented, looking up at his phone screen to see your face. You looked sad too and well Seunghun knew this wasn’t fun. It was bittersweet for him as well, touring was so fun but he missed you a lot. 

“I just miss you.” You mumbled, putting your phone closer by your face. You pulled the hoodie of his you were wearing up to your nose, realising that the scent of him had faded quite a bit. The realisation could’ve made you cry but you held it back. You just really missed him and it seemed wearing his hoodie as much as you had was making the scent of him go away. 

“What’s wrong?” Seunghun asked, noticing how looked significantly more upset than before. “The hoodie I stole from you doesn’t smell like you anymore.” You sounded so sad, but the words were slightly funny. “The hoodie I stole…” He repeated before shaking his head slightly. “This isn’t funny. When you come back you need to wear it for a while, so it’ll smell like you again.” You pouted and he could only simply pull a smile. It was cute, truly it was and he would do that for you if that’s what you wanted. 

“If that’s what you want I’ll do it. I’m so going to hold it over you that you miss me that much.” 

Yonghee:

It seemed like something had been on your mind the entire day. Almost as if you were hiding something and well it was making Yonghee anxious. He was almost scared that he had done something wrong. So even though you were in their dorm, he was treading lightly around you. 

It wasn’t until he caught you trying to put a hoodie back into his closet that he started to question things. “What are you doing?” He asked, catching you red handed with his hoodie. “Is this why you have been kind of off all day?” He added on and you could only blush in embarrassment. It looked like you were stealing them in his eyes. “It’s not what you think. I’m not stealing one.” You said, frowning and holding the hoodie you were trying to return. 

Yonghee took the hoodie from your hands before pulling you in for a hug. “Then what are you doing?” He asked, small smile playing on his lips as he watched your face get flushed. “I took this hoodie a while ago. It used to smell like you and now it doesn’t…. I was returning it so you would wear it again and I could take it again.” Your explanation made you sound crazy but Yonghee didn’t think so. He thoought it was one of the sweetest things he had ever heard, albeit a little unhinged. 

“I’ll wear it right now, so you can take it back with you when you go back home.” 

Jinyoung: 

The second you had entered the house he had tugged you along. Deseperately wanting to cuddle with you and be alone with you for a few moments, so much so he practically threw you onto his bed to do so. Crawling over you, Jinyoung burried his face in your chest and let out a sigh. 

“I missed you so much.” He mumbled into your chest. It had indeed been a while, schedules being hectic for the both of you. That being said, you needed him to do something for you. “I missed you too… which leads me to this.” You slightly pushed him off of you and reached for your bag. Tugging out the hoodie, you handed it to him. “i need you to wear this today.” You added on and he simply looked confused. 

“This is mine?… You want me to wear my hoodie?” Jinyoung was confused and you couldn’t help but sigh. You were kind of embarrassed because of this, why did he have to ask questions. “It doesn’t smell like you anymore and when we can’t see eachother for a while… I wear it because it smells like you and makes me feel better.” You explained, watching a cocky smile pull over his lips. He pulled the hoodie on over his head and pushed you back down to hug you further. 

“That’s so cute, so ridiculously cute. I’m definitely holding this against you later on.” 

Hyunsuk: 

When you heard they were going on tour, you knew you had to get him to do this thing for you before he left. Even if that meant bargeing in on practice because you didn’t know when else you could get it to him. 

“Hey, what are you doing here?” Hyunsuk smiled, hugging you tightly and tucking your head under his chin. “I know I’m going to see you before you go on tour so you can give this back then. I just needed to get this to you before then.” You said and pulled out the hoodie you had taken from his closet a while ago. 

“This is my hoodie, I let you take it a while ago… why are you giving it back?” He asked, pushing the hoodie back into your hands. He liked that you had something of his, he loved it actually. “I need you to wear it over the next few days and give it back to me before you go on tour. It doesn’t smell like you anymore, I need it to smell like you.” You said and he had to bite back tears. He was going to miss you so much. 

“I’ll do that but you, you need to give me a shirt of yours for the same reason. Promise?”

He’s silent. The air is still and hushed from the argument that had happened only moments prior. Tears well up in his own eyes as he watches how you silently plead for him to stop shouting. The whole argument was trivial, and he had shouted at you…?

“Y/n…I’m so so sorry…” You barely have time to respond before he’s putting the argument to bed, offering to give you space. And in the midst of his rambled apologies, you have to hold him and reassure him that no, he’s not a bad boyfriend. It just startled you. You still love him.

Kim Hongjoong | 김홍중

It happens so fast; he’s stressed about not finishing the melody he was working on and oh darling he didn’t mean to throw his hands back. He’s frozen in place and oh god you flinched because of him… his voice is nothing but a whisper, the air clinging to his words as he apologises over and over and over again. He wasn’t going to hurt you, he would never hurt you, oh god he’d never think about hurting you—

The moment you let him hold you it’s like he’d lose you forever if he let go; whispering hushed comforts as he soothes your trembling figure. You were only in there to check on him because there was radio silence the entire day. You just missed him – and oh god his heart drops.

Jeong Yunho | 정윤호

He’s a gentle giant but after hours of futile perfecting of a routine he just can’t get right, Yunho is intimidating. He can’t help how he towers over you, ranting about how he’s fine and he just needs a few more minutes to get this right, and that’s when it happens. His voice raises and you take a step back, eyes quivering in the wake of his outburst. He breaks, somehow seeming half his size as he takes in the gravity of what he had just done.

His hands reach out for you, freezing as he pleads with the universe that you’ll accept his chance to make up for his mistake. A breath he didn’t know he was holding finally leaves him when you take his hand, Yunho cradling your head in his chest and apologising for scaring you. He’s stressed, and that’s no reason for him to treat you the way he did.

Kang Yeosang | 강여상

As much as Yeosang loves the back and forth he has with you, he also has his bad days. Bad days where he wants nothing more than for someone to look past the aloof front and tell him that everything’s going to be okay. But tonight, somehow even you’re oblivious and it just bubbles over. He snaps, going off over how you should have seen it and did you even care?

And he feels so guilty when he realises you’ve been flinching away with every step. The anger leaves his system near immediately and the apologies tumble out. But he doesn’t have long to wait before you’re pulling him into your arms, comforting your exhausted boyfriend, sorry for not realising how bad he was feeling. Everything was going to be okay.

Choi San | 최산

San’s a passionate man and bless him he gets invested in whatever the topic of discussion (or argument) happens to be. He gets lost in it sometimes. Tonight was just one of those nights, and a simple comment led to an intense argument that neither on you were intent on losing. Even if there was nothing to lose. And so he slams his hand down on the table as he tries to physically show you what he was describing, but the words die in his throat when he realises you’ve flinched, shuffling away from him

“Baby, I—…” tears start collecting in his own eyes, pulling you into his arms and putting the conversation to bed. Whether he was right or not no longer mattered, not when he’s startled you so badly.

Song Mingi | 송민기

Mingi doesn’t get angry often, and he tries not to. As tall as you may be, he towers over you and it doesn’t play into his favour when he isn’t trying to be the dominant force in the room. He’s just had a long day and his voice has an edge to it and he doesn’t mean for it to sound so aggressive, but it does. What he intends to be a simple request comes out harsher than it sounded in his head and the volume makes you flinch.

Several deep breaths later and he’s brought you beside him, apologising for his outburst and admitting he was at his wits end. You were just trying to help and he knows that.

Jung Wooyoung | 정우영

You know Wooyoung has a tendency to be loud, a rarely tamed excitement that charmed you the first time you met the man. But sometimes it gets a bit much. He knows this too, and he can usually see the signs that you’d prefer a quieter day, but it slipped by him today. You’d both had a fast-paced, exciting day and in the midst of it all, it suddenly dawns that you need space to process everything and breathe. Enter Wooyoung in all his excited glory and—

His voice shrinks when he sees you flinch, the entire way he holds himself coated in concern. He whispers, holding you close and making sure you know he didn’t mean to startle you. He’ll get some blankets, switch on your favourite film and the pair of you can unwind from the day you had.

Choi Jongho | 최종호

Jongho never intends on shutting you out when he doesn’t feel emotionally present, he just needs time for himself to process and understand how he’s feeling in the moment so he can deal with it. And he loves you so much for being so open and willing to discuss your emotions, but today just wasn’t his day. As much as he loves listening to your voice, it’s just too overwhelming and he just wants quiet for one moment—

And you flinched. So he kicks himself (mentally) and pulls you into his arms. It wasn’t your fault; you were just trying to help, and he knows that. But all he wants you to know is that sometimes he needs those moments to bring himself back down to reality. With a kiss to your forehead, he makes sure you know he’s only in his room if you need something as well.

JOSHUA - always walks on the outside of the road: it's so subtle that you don't notice it for a while. like everything he does, it's incredibly smooth. if you're chatting, he slows his steps and, without breaking his train of thought, comes up to your other side. he nudges you until you're on the inside of the sidewalk and takes your hand, swinging it in the space between you. to be honest, you chalked it up to him preferring to hold a certain hand over the other; you've definitely felt that way sometimes. what makes you finally realize is when jeonghan realizes it. you're walking in a group of three — you by the road, jeonghan in the middle, and joshua on the inside — and half listening to jeonghan's story when he suddenly stops talking and asks what josh is doing. "nothing," is his immediate response, crossing behind both of you to reach your other side. you move over to make room, and when you bump jeonghan further into the sidewalk, the older boy snorts. "are you always this chivalrous, or are you showing off in front of me?" jeonghan wonders. joshua only shrugs and tells him to continue with the story, but jeonghan's onto something. when joshua takes your hand, you give it a squeeze and send him an appreciative smile.

WONWOO - plays games for you: he loves when you play games with him, but there's a lot of times when you're too busy to keep up, and every time you come back, you're sad at all the resources you've missed from not doing dailies and events. so when he has time to play, he tells you to log in and join his world. "don't worry about it," he says, sliding on the cat eared headset you gifted him one year. "focus your pretty head on doing your work and i'll take care of the rest." hard to argue with him when he looks that good. as promised, he does both of your games, and you always have enough in-game currency or are caught up enough to play the latest events. he's busier than you are, though, so you want to return the favor sometimes, but he literally won't let you. you tried to sneak onto his computer once to help, and he remotely logged out as if he knew what you were doing. "why can't i help you?" you ask him one day, face crushed against his chest as he holds you back from queuing for his daily league game. "because," he responds, which is not an answer at all. still, it's cute that he worries more about your account than his own.

VERNON - cleans up quietly: mingyu pulls on your arm, already babbling about how fun the rides are going to be, but when you turn back to find vernon, you see him starting to stack up the dirty plates. people rarely ask it of him. with a group as big as seventeen, though, they can't afford to not clean up, so you notice that sometimes vernon starts that process, quietly clearing cans and cups so that there's less to do later. you shake mingyu off. "i'll join you in a bit," you tell him and tilt your head towards your boyfriend. mingyu shouts out don't take too long! and goes off to find someone else to bother instead. sidling up to vernon, you take the pile out of his hands. "you could've asked for help, you know." he shrugs, scrunching up all the dirty napkins. "they want to play." "what about you?" he shrugs again. "i don't mind going later. it's not like the games will disappear in the next twenty minutes," he says, and that's one of your favorite things about him. how patient he is. how you can't rush him, no matter how much the PDs try. you bump his shoulder on the way to the trashcan. "the games might still be there, but the snacks won't. let's hurry and catch up with the rest of them."

You think this man is going to stop if someone walks in? He doesn’t care that a member just walked in. When he’s in a mood, he’s not going to stop. He may look over at the member and make a joke about them either leaving or joining in. That makes the member leave right away with an embarrassed blush on their face. No interruptions will be stop this man.

Jaehyun

Jaehyun would freeze when a member walked in on the two of you. He would not know what to do. He’d wait until the member walked out of the room before actually reacting. His face would be beet red and he’d hide his face in the crook of your neck. He might get back to what you were doing but he might be too embarrassed.

Mark

Mark will immediately stop everything and awkwardly tell whoever walked in to get out. He’d be stuttering and his face would be dusted with a pink tint. Once the member left, he’d stare at you a bit before making some half assed joke about the whole situation. He may go back to what you were doing but he’ll be on high alert in case someone gets close to the door.

the way you've been fidgeting with the ring on your finger is distracting, and as the argument continues, his gaze can't help flickering down now and then to observe what you're doing. he really hopes you don't take it off at some point. this isn't a drama, he keeps telling himself, but his worries come true and his throat closes up as you slip off the ring completely. the words die on his tongue, and you haven't even noticed, rolling the metal between your fingers. he approaches you carefully, reaching for your hands first to take the ring and put it back in place without a sound:

JEONGHAN, minghao, seungkwan

"stop that," he says suddenly, and you freeze at his tone, at the way his eyes are widened and staring at your hands, but his voice startles you. the room is silent, save for the high pitched clink of your promise ring hitting the floor, clattering a few times before rolling to a stop by his feet. he picks it up and holds it out to you, eyebrows furrowed as if asking whether you meant something by it. you didn't, you swear:

seungcheol, SOONYOUNG, mingyu

he finds your ring on the kitchen counter when he goes to get water. it's nearly 4am and you're sound asleep in the guest room, not wanting to stay in the same bed tonight, so there's no way you took it off and forgot about it...he pockets the ring, fingers curling tight around it like he's holding together the pieces of his heart. he'll sort this out with you in the morning. he doesn't want to think about what it means, but it has him tossing and turning all night:

you approach him and wait for him to hold out a hand before dropping the promise ring into his palm. the silence is deafening. he looks at you, down at the ring, up at you again. "what're you saying?" he finally manages, though it's a hoarse whisper, more of a croak than his actual voice. please don't break his heart here:

SEOKMIN: he's a very affectionate person. it isn't uncommon for him to pull you into a hug while laughing or lean into your side while talking to someone or reach for your hand while you walk to the store. and you've always reciprocated his actions, so it doesn't matter to him who starts the pda first, even if it's him every time. but those are on normal days. today's a little different. you kneel before his curled form on the couch, eyes barely peeking over the blanket he's buried in. "are you alright?" you murmur, melting when he lifts his eyes to meet yours. "i will be," he says. "i'll just lay here for a bit and be back to normal." he tries to give you a smile, but it falters. usually, he'd reach out to you for snuggles when he's upset, but what does it mean if he's preferring to be alone? for once, you don't know what to do. "is there any way i can help?" he hums for a minute, considering, before shaking his head. "thank you for offering, though." your heart warms for him, and before you know it, you're leaning forward to press a kiss to his forehead, hand burying itself in his curls. his sound of surprise turns to contentment as he smiles at you — for real this time.

MINGHAO: most of the time, he's fine, but when he's in a particularly mischievous mood, he doesn't play fair. case in point, the way he's lording over his victory in mario kart right now. you were supposed to be cleaning up when you found the game again, and just one round keeps turning into another and another, winning tally marks adding up on his notes app. you didn't realize how competitive you were until minghao scoffed at your score, asking if you forgot to get gas at the station. "you literally pushed me!" you gasp at his latest quip. that only makes his grin widen, and that only makes your determination rise. "one more run, and no cheating this time." "okay." but he must be taking lessons from jeonghan because as soon as the flag waves, he's back to pressing his shoulder against yours. "minghao," you grit out. "yeah?" his voice is infuriatingly calm in your ear, a hint of a laugh emerging at the end of his tone. you turn your face and kiss the underside of his chin right before turning back and throwing out a green shell that manages to snag the back of his cart. he sputters. "that's not fair, i was distracted!" when the energy dies down after the match, you're burying your face in your hands, begging him to stop giving you a dramatic play-by-play of what happened.

VERNON: sometimes the boys make comments about how there's not much happening in your relationship, which confuses you. there's plenty going on: vernon shares a lot of music with you, you show him your favorite hobbies, you go out for food constantly. but when vernon shushes them with furrowed brows, the meaning dawns on you. vernon's never talked about it before. it's not like he reaches out much, either, and you're both perfectly content with how it is, so it's never occurred to you that maybe he's...being considerate? you decide to ask him about it one day, and he only shrugs, continuing to organize his shelf. "sometimes i wait for you to make the first move just to make sure that you're comfortable, but it's not like i'm holding myself back or anything," he says. you grimace, thinking to the time he tried to hold your hand in front of his friends and how you jumped. as if sensing your thoughts, he turns around with a fake glare. "i'm serious." still, you're sure it doesn't feel great, so when he reaches back for the book in your arms, you take his hand and press a kiss to his knuckles. by both of your reactions, you're not sure who's more taken by surprise, but he recovers first. he stands in front of you, face closer this time. "do that again?"

CHAN: when his friends tell you that he's a surprisingly shy person, you're hesitant to believe them. chan? really? the guy who tells the waiter if your order is wrong? the guy who strikes up conversation with strangers in line to see what flavor you should get? "not in that way," seungkwan says, snickering behind his hand with seokmin. you're almost afraid of what they have in mind. "why don't you kiss him first next time and see what i mean?" they don't just propose the idea: they make sure it happens. that's how you find yourself with chan in the corner of the practice room during their break, the other boys as far as they can on the opposite side of the room. you're trying to ignore seungkwan and mingyu's obvious gesturing. "hey, what's wrong?" chan frowns at your tense expression, thumb smoothing out the wrinkles on your forehead. "nothing," you say too quick. his concern is still there. "actually, can you get a little closer?" he nods, leaning in to hear you better, but as soon as he's close enough, you kiss his cheek. the reaction is immediate. his face flushes, hand flying up to cradle the spot, and his embarrassed stammer is drowned out by the noise of his friends' amused crowing.

First dates with Omega X

Jaehan:

Jaehan likes being casual, therefore his first date would be quite casual. But nothing during the day time, he doesn’t like that vibe. He would want to maybe go grab drinks somewhere. Maybe a nice bar or a nice restaurant, somewhere with nice feeling to it. A place where he can dress up a little and you can as well. He can talk to you easily here, make you laugh, compliment you to no end. 

He would be confident on a first date, even if he doesn’t feel it. He oozes charm, but will falter when you compliment him. It makes him shy, but also boosts his ego. So he recovers quickly, but ooooh that charm. If you’re okay with it, he’s quite touchy. Holding the small of your back to guide you inside, playing with your hand as you wait on your drinks. 

Hwichan: 

Being a little introverted, I think Hwichan would want your first date to be somewhere he’s comfortable. Ideally it would be at his place but he wouldn’t want you to find that odd, so he’d take you to the cafe he favours. He’s comfortable there, it puts him at ease to see slightly familiar faces. 

Hwichan is most definitely awkward, but incredibly sweet. Finds himself listening more than speaking but getting incredibly happy when you ask him about himself. He isn’t one to really talk about himself, unless when asked so he lights up when you ask him about his life. Hwichan also likes to laugh so he’s incredibly happy and giggly the whole time. 

Sebin: 

Sebin is a romantic, truly. You can tell by the way he treats those around him and therefore I think he would want to do something incredibly romantic. I think maybe a picnic in the park, in the evening. Something where he can prepare something really sweet, offer you his jacket if you get chilly and walk you home when it’s over. 

He’s very comfortable in this setting, like it’s not like he’s ridiculously confident but he’s confident enough to make you feel comfortable. He’s also so flirty, making you blush every other sentence as he compliments you, he’s so cheesy. But he like watches you, finds himself getting lost in you very quickly. It’s so romantic. 

Hangyeom: 

Hangyeom is a dog person through and through. Between his own dog and those he sees on the street to go and pet, this leads me to believe he would love to go to a dog cafe. This immediately shows him if you have similar interests and well it’s just fun. He laughs a lot, he smiles a lot and finds the whole date incredibly heartwarming and wholesome. 

Hangyeom is very warm during the first date. He creates such a nice and comfortable environment. Sure he fumbles his words sometimes because nerves are still prevelant. But he’s so kind and smiles so much, you look past your own nerves. Very comfortable date. 

Taedong: 

Taedong is the sweetest boy, therefore I think the sweetest boy would take to the place with the best sweet treats. A cafe known for their desserts with nice drinks and cute little cakes. He’d order a bunch of different treats to try, it also serves as a topic of conversation and they’re all yummy so win, win. 

He’s incredibly sweet, just a little nervous. Fumbles over his words, misses his mouth with a cupcake a few times. But that’s okay, the awkwardness makes you both laugh. He’ll even order your favorite dessert again for you to take home with you, as a little gift. 

Xen/Jinwoo: 

Our foodie, he knows where all the good restaurants are and will have you both eating good for the night. He’d choose quite a lowkey place, pretty casual to keep things light  as you munch. Jinwoo wants things to feel more like friends going out for the first date. Thinks you both would be the most comfortable that way. 

He’d be really relaxed. Like he’s known you forever, Jinwoo keeps it all really casual. You might wonder if that makes it feel like a first date and it does because he shows small affection in little touches. Like grazing your hand over the table and gently holding it as you walk out and in to the restaurant. 

Jehyun:

This stylish boy is similar to Xen, he wants quite a casual date. Maybe going shopping, grabbing a coffee and just wandering around town and sightseeing. It’s really relaxed and you guys can learn about eachothers’ likes and dislikes very easily. Jehyun would like wandering around, catch himself staring at you as stare through the windows of stores and such. 

Jehyun is totally awkward at the start but it goes away fairly quickly. Like 10 minutes after you get together it goes away. Makes sure you both laugh a lot, try on fun things and look at cute knick knacks. He’s very sweet, holding the small of your back as you enter stores, walking on the streetside of the sidewalk so you’re safer etc. 

Kevin/Jinwoo: 

This sweetheart!!!! He would want to bake/cook something together. So the dorm kitchen is officially off limits to the others, it’s your studio and you two will be making treats for dinner and having fun. It’s a date that doesn’t require much thought and if you mess up, oh well! Order a pizza and let the fun continue while watching a movie or something. 

Jinwoo gets really shy and it takes him a minute to open up. So instead of him creating a comforting environment, the task will quite fall on you. But that’s okay because he opens up after a while and you find him laughing and talking so much. It’s a very comfortable date, that requires some handy work. 

Junghoon: 

Another casual person, Junghoon would want something light as well. Maybe going to see a cute movie together and grabbing coffee afterwards. Junghoon is very cheerfull so if the theater is quite empty, he’d have no problem laughing or pointing things out to you. Would definitely hold your hand as you’re sitting next to eachother as well. 

He isn’t nervous, that’s quite a word in his vocabulary. He’s incredibly bright and cheerful the whole time. Listens to your interests in a lot of depth and absorbs everything you have to say. His bright presence makes you feel very happy and safe. 

Hyuk:

I had a hard time pinning this one but I think I got a good one, flying kites by the river on a nice day. It’s a little bit more of a physical dates and it’s ridiculously cute. Maybe having a picnic too, or just drinking something while running around. It’s really fun and wholesome and you guys can use some energy at the same time. 

Hyuk is quite smiley, yet quiet. More of an observer during your date so you have to like, entice him to talk about himself. He would help you with setting things up and compliment you gently. All in all very fun and energetic. 

Yechan: 

I have a few things I think Yechan would enjoy doing. Maybe ordering in food and watching a movie together. The movie most definitely being forgotten as you guys talk. Or ordering in food and him teaching you to play the guitar, it would be absolutely hysterical and a lot of fun either way. 

Yechan is a little awkward but it’s quite funny and it makes you both laugh. This takes care of the awkwardness happening and you two end up being quite comfortable, quite quickly. It ends up feeling like you guys are friends hanging out which is really nice.

Listening to the curated playlist he made for you while you lay together and watch the ceiling. Sneaking pictures of him without makeup, refusing to delete it because he looks pretty like that and pointing out every little feature you like about it. Hint; it’s everything.

Huang Renjun | 런줜

Twilight hours spent getting lost in various art projects together, watching over Jun’s shoulder as he finishes another one of his pieces. Deep conversations about the future and your goals; he promises to support you as much as humanly possible. Staying up over the phone for little Chinese language lessons while you both fight the urge to sleep. Tracing constellations in the night sky in the park with nothing else but coffee, blankets and all the time in the world. Late-night photoshoots against alleyways, laughing at how bad the picture came out while taking the best ones as shared wallpapers.

Lee Jeno | 이제노

Late nights spent looking at new desk setups and decorations for your shared gaming spaces. Laughing at Hyuck’s incessant yelling down the mics when you ‘accidentally’ let yourself get killed in-game to spend more time with Jeno away from the screen. Content smiles when he wraps his arms around you from behind while you’re making hot chocolates, his head buried in the crook of your neck. Constant discussions over adopting a puppy and all the aesthetic things the pair of you could do as pup-parents.

Lee Donghyuck | 이동혁

Staying up watching as he plays round after round with the others, chuckling as he shouts obscenities over his headphones. Filming Hyuck to use as ‘blackmail’ material in the group chat later on. Popping open a can for the pair of you when he finally finishes playing, the clock hits two am easily. Throwing a pillow in his face when he suggests something absolutely insane and laughing at his over-the-top offended face. Pretending to film that reality show he keeps talking about whenever he starts going off on one of his tangents. Sharing snacks while you bicker over what to watch and watching the same show for the nth time.

Na Jaemin | 나재민

Late night coffee runs where you gawk at the sheer amount of extra espresso shots he adds to his drink order. Running after him as he pulls you to the next 24/7 café he finds. Listening to him ramble about his day while you watch with an endeared smile because how does he still have all this energy? Waking up at unholy times because Jaemin’s calling you over to bake muffins with him. Enjoying your freshly made midnight snacks with a drama marathon wrapped under blankets.

Zhong Chenle | 천러

Falling asleep against his shoulder three dramas into your tv marathon, his hands gently laced through your hair. Playing with Daegal and struggling not to wake up the entire neighbourhood with your shared laughter, the small dog just too cute. Wandering the convenience store looking for the best midnight snack before settling on buying an entire bag full because no one could come up with a clear answer. Nibbling on the bag of snacks on the way home while ranting about each other’s day and making fun of his hyungs – with good intentions.

Park Jisung | 박지성

Waking up to Jisung pleading you to join him on one of his late-night craving-induced trips to the store to get ice creams. Laughing about your brain freezes while trying to down the frozen treats. Watching (read; supervising) him make ramen and applauding when he manages to not burn the kitchen down; his hyungs aren’t exactly keen on waking up to the smell of a burnt kitchen and a panicking Park Jisung. Eating said ramen by the balcony and watching the rain hit the ground outside. Counting as many graveyard shift workers making their way across the street and wondering what their day looks like. Laying in each other’s lap and relaxing while you play with each other’s hair.

He can’t think of any moment where you aren’t there, where you aren’t making his heart flutter, where you aren’t spending the most important moments of his life with him, and it dawns on him like the dawning sun. He’s in love with you. He’s in love with his best friend. Perhaps he’s been in love with you forever, perhaps his love changed for that of romance.

It sorta just hits him, and everyone else can see it on his face – he can’t stop smiling whenever he thinks about you. He just seems to come alive when he’s with you, and you’re the first person on his mind when he makes plans. He finds cute items in the store, and he sees your face immediately. You’re everywhere he looks, and he’s perfectly content.

The confession isn’t even a thought. He just has to tell you how he feels, otherwise he thinks the others will beat him to the punch. He loves you, all he has to do is say it

Choi Chanhee | 최찬희

When the playful texts you two send each other start making him pause, when he starts thinking more and more about the flirty suggestions you both send each other’s way. It’s when he starts wishing that he could actually take you on those dates he keeps joking about, that it really starts dawning on him. He’s in love with you – his best friend.

So he takes that chance and makes those date ideas a reality with you, slipping his confession in and hoping you take it well. You don’t have to tell him your response, he’ll be perfectly happy as long as he’s beside you.

Sunwoo’s words become gentler when it hits him that he’s in love with you. The relentless teasing starts to ease because what if he hurts you? He’s shyer in your presence, constantly seeking your validation and praise – directly or not. Your opinion of him becomes the one thing he wants to keep as high as possible. He wants to become the best person he can be for you, he just hopes you’ll notice him for it.

Gone is the snarky quips as he confesses, exchanged for genuine words and searching eyes. Eyes searching for your response.

Son Youngjae | 손영재

He sees you working with kids and his heart skips several beats. Your smile, the way the kids adore you, even the sky could see how he falls in love with you. And then it hits him that you’re his best friend and oh god what is he supposed to do now? No one gave him a manual on how to deal with falling in love with his best friend, and even his hyungs can’t say anything else but talk to them.

So he does, and time just freezes as he waits for your answer. Was the hope worth it?
