Heard it’s Nesta appreciation week so here’s a post appreciating one of the only parts of acosf I liked:

Remember when she wanted to show the priestesses that defense training would be safe and effective so she practices annoyingly enough that Cassian had to come in because she knew the priestesses would complain to Clotho who’d call Cassian? Then she knew that he’d never let bad form slide so she faked a mistake so he’d gently correct her? And all the priestesses saw how safe they’d be? Also Cassian figured out her plan and appreciated her intellect. Queen shit.

So tired of the “Nesta has hurt and wronged so many people” narrative because who are they talking about? 

A case can be made for both Feyre and Cassian, sure. While a similar case can be made for their treatment towards her. But that’s literally it. 

Rhysand? Please

Morrigan? Get over yourself

Elain? Out of the question

Azriel? Of course not

Amren? I. Wish.

Nesta isn’t the monster you all have made her out to be and she always delivers what she has been served. Treat her with respect and she will treat you accordingly.

Something that will literally never get old to me is Nesta being a romance reader. It was one of the first and most consistent hints that this girl is a SOFTIE like she is a closeted ROMANTIC.

And then there’s the whole aspect of the society she was raised in preaching modesty to an extreme level. She’s held onto some of those ideals in the way she dresses, does her hair and generally carries herself. But not in the books she reads 😈 you’ll have to peel her filthy smutty books from her cold dead hands

Mor after doing everything in her power to sabotage her best friend's relationship with his mate and ruin both this woman's life and her friend's prospects of a future beside the love of his life only so he can serve her own purpose, has a glass of wine and goes to bed fully convinced she is a dreamer that inspires others

i know that Nesta and Lucien aren't going to defend themselves against the Inner Circle, because then the IC won't be superior and we just can't have that, but if they ever need someone to fight for them, there are many people in this fandom. including me

I was re-reading ACOMAF and came across the scene where Cassian shielded Azriel from Hybern's powers resulting in his wings shredding and oh my God, can you imagine how much self loathing Azriel must have inflicted on himself during Cassian's recovery? His brother, who had taught him how to fly properly and use his wings had sacrificed his own to protect him and it makes me love the bat boys even more.
