Psalm 9:9-10 New International Version 9 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. 10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Whatever we'd face in the years to come, as members of the interdependent body of Christ, we could rely on the Lord. And as we continue to seek Him and support one another, we can find our hope being ratified by faith-building memories of God's unchanging character and dependability. - As we look ahead to the new year, let's remember that God has always been and always will be faithful!

"Courage makes a good theory, but sometimes we need help to practice it. We have many opportunities to step out of our comfort zone to serve God. When we don’t have courage, we need to be reminded of God’s promise in 2 Timothy, and we need others’ encouragement to take the leap.
Perhaps you need someone to tell you: Volunteer for that job at church—they need you. Have lunch with your co-worker to discuss matters of faith. Or join that small group.
Be courageous for Jesus. Sometimes it takes just that first step of courage to serve our majestic God." -
"Courage will follow when faith takes the lead." 💝

What is your "safe place"? Wherever we seek safety, it is God's presence with us in that place that provides the strength and protection we really need. - God is a safe place in life's storms.

Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ
"Sometimes, when hurt or silence intrudes on our relationships, mending them seems out of our control. But as apostle Paul says in his letter to the church at Ephesus, we are called to work for peace and unity through God's Spirit, donning the garments of gentleness, humility, and patience as we seek God's healing in our relationships. The Lord yearns for us to be united, and through His Spirit He can bring His people together— even unexpectedly."
God desires unity among believers.

As runners in a spiritual race, we need one another— perhaps even more so, for we are not racing in competition with each other but as members of the same team. There'll be moments where we falter and need someone to pick us up; at other times, someone may need our encouragement through our prayers of presence. We need each other to get where God wants us to go. Let us look for ways to encourage others on their journey to spiritual race.
