im noticing that for a lot of americans “free palestine” has been an ideological motto and symbol rather than them actually believing in their heart that freedom is attainable and necessary
every time my bf says “for the time being” i respond with “for the time bean” and then we say “all hail the time bean” and carry on the conversation like nothing happened
stupid ofmd takes never cease, today it's "Stede is an actual slaver because he tried to sell Hornberry in 01x03"
buddy. my guy. my dude. listen.
Taking enemy officers hostage and ransoming them back is a established tradition in European politics (and I'm sure elsewhere as well). "I have your king, I want x amount of money and you have to promise y and z, then I'll give him back" has been a legitimate diplomatic tactic since forever (yes not even kings were exempt from this). Even today, prisoner exchanges still happen. On no level is this even remotely similar to slavery.
Selling English aristocrats for money is cool and fine actually. You're allowed to do that. Many people don't know this.
Stede yelling "Man For Sale!!" while he leads him around the republic of pirates on a leash is Hornberry's most treasured memory. He jacks off to it daily.
Right now, Stede is trying to read a book and Ed's pouting over not getting his boyfriend's undivided attention after a long, hard day (they slept in until noon and spent most of the day cuddling). Ed's slowly starting to edge his way into Stede's lap. He's got his foot hooked around Stede's ankle, a hand on his thigh, and his nose buried under Stede's jaw. Stede's pretending not to notice yet (aside from giving Ed a kiss on the cheek, he's not a bloody monster) because he thinks it's cute when Ed's needy and pouty.
In five minutes he's gonna be fully in Stede's lap and Stede will finally have to put the book down. Yet another win for Ed "tactical genius" Teach
