elvis presley is a fool in love.

he knows it too, as he stares down at your sleeping form curled up against his side. with the sunlight peaking in through the window and highlighting your features, you resembled and angel.

my angel, elvis thought as he brought his hand up, using his fingers to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear just as you began to shift.

when your eyes finally blinked open, elvis couldn’t stop the smile that spread across his face, nor could he stop himself from leaning down and peppering your face in kisses.

you giggled, shying away from his attack.

with one final peck to your lips, elvis pulled away to meet your eyes. “hmm…good morning, baby,” he spoke, his smooth voice sending chills down your spine.

“good morning, handsome. you slept well?” you asked, running your hand through his hair as he settled on his side next to you, the two of you facing each other.

he nodded, keeping his eyes locked with yours, “i always sleep good when your sleeping next to me.” and it was the truth. when you’re around, everything is good.

your heart swelled at his words, heat rising to your cheeks. god you love him, he knows exactly how to make you feel appreciated, always making it known exactly how much he loves you.

you didn’t know what to say so you leaned in for a kiss instead. and when your lips met his it was if the whole world melted away. no press. no fans. just elvis presley and you, so beautifully in love.

the kiss was quick, and when you pulled away elvis sighed in content, wrapping his arms around you and snuggling into your side.

“i love you more than anything,” he whispered, his lips brushing against your neck as he spoke. “i love you more than life itself.”
