I made a post about the same topic on reddit yesterday and I’m posting it on my tumblr too.
In the gem wish tree there are some karmas that are
1. only attainable by gem pull
2. unable to redeem with heart flowers
3. has a significantly lower drop rate than other karmas in the same tier
KR server lets you know the drop rates of wish trees. Since SP is not in EN server yet, I’m going to ignore the &SP part in the table and assume that the SSR drop rate is 1%.
There are currently 16 SSRs in the EN gem wish tree. The drop rate of getting one of the 16 SSRs is 1%. So one can assume that the individual drop rate of each SSR karma is 1 ÷ 16 = 0.0625 %
But that’s not the case. The individual drop rates of same tier karmas are not equal. There are some karmas whose drop rates are ridiculously lower than the other karmas. Those are called “hidden” karmas by Korean players.
So for example, the drop rate of a hidden SSR is 0.0001 % and the drop rate of other SSRs are 0.06% and they all add up to 1%.(Tbh, I think the rate is even lower than that.)
I have seen players who have spent enough money to get Kiro’s top up SSR(which is worth about 2600 US dollars by the way) and have none of these ultra-rare SRs or SSRs.
Here are the pictures of these almost non-existent rare karmas. If you have any of them, maybe you spent all of your life-worth’s luck on this game.
