So I've decided that I'm going to try to add more to this blog as i move forward.  This is good for students I suppose so they can keep up and remain well adjusted.  Long story short -- this is where you go when you want to know what you missed.  Thanks to my new classes for trying to keep me grounded and consistent.  :)

One More Day!!!
AP -- Today I collected your essays that you wrote on the American Revolution and we then looked at the Articles of Confederation.  You took notes and went over the two ordinances and figured out that the AoC kind of sucked.  From there I talked to you about the Annapolis Convention, Shays' Rebellion, and the Newburg Conspiracy.  Afterwards you elected a President and secretary to oversee your very own Constitutional Convention.  You will be able to work on this throughout the day tomorrow as well.
Honors - I shared news with you regarding your formative assessments and then we took some very brief notes on the American Civil War.  Afterwards I assigned you a project that will be due at the end of the period tomorrow.  You will have time to work on it in class tomorrow after our re-enactment.

Happy Birthday Ms. Valentine,
Hey guys!  Hope your day went well.  Here's what we did today!
AP -- You started out by taking a homework assessment, see I didn't call it a quiz.  It's going to be graded as a homework grade because it was a quiz on the homework you did.  It will take the place of the Vocab grade that you normally get.  Then we looked that Declaration of Independence -- Afterwards I briefly went through a keynote on the American Revolution -- you will go through that in more detail whenever we get a chance to do so tomorrow.  When we were done with that we looked at a Map of the important battles of the American Revolution.  You were confused, but I will walk us through the battles tomorrow as well.
Honors - We reviewed for our big test tomorrow.  Hopefully you studied and will be prepared for that tomorrow.  Good luck!

Thank you all for the warm welcome back.  I do feel much better and am glad to be back!
AP - We hung up your poster and all that stuff so the hallway now looks great.  I want to give you a heads up on your grades -- I'm working on getting all of your grades done.  I was planning on doing it this weekend, but I was sick and I got behind.  I'll spend one night at somepoint getting all of this taken care of, but alas I am currently behind.  Afterwards we looked at the American Revolution and worked on Common Sense Activity.  Make sure you study and get your homework done!
Honors -- We did our warm-up and did all that stuff.  From there we talked about the assessment that you will have on Wednesday.  We started the Civil War today by talking about the Pro's and Cons of both the North and South.  Afterwards we looked at a map and labeled it then we went forward and finished a matrix.  Tomorrow we will look at studying for our 4.5 week benchmark.

Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  I did put up pictures of AP working on their road to Revolution posters.  But I'll catch you up on today.
AP -- You worked on your road to Revolution Posters all period.  You will have 10 minutes to finish this tomorrow.  If you didn't finish you should come by early tomorrow and finish it.  This will be graded as a project.
Honors -- You guys created an interactive timeline of the 1850s.  It was awesome.  You can view this by looking at angel.  I also let you know that you can do test corrections on test 2.  You need to write the entire question, the entire answer, the page where you found the right answer, and why you missed the question.  These are important. It is due on the 26th of September.
I hope I feel better tomorrow!!!
