Even though Arthur likely didn't have a bucket list (that we know of) I'd like to think that some of the things he did, especially towards the end of his story, sorta made up for it.

He got to ride in a hot air balloon, drive a train, visit a tropical island (despite the circumstances), he met a real lion, caught a monstrous fish with Hamish (especially considering Arthur is a 'poor fisherman'), he helped bring a real robot to life, he saw a UFO, met a time traveller, studied rock carvings that depicted the future, went treasure hunting, met a paleontologist, and so much more.

Arthur's life may not have been the best, but I hope the part of his life that we could control gave him plenty of fond memories to rest with.

ik this random but thoughts on sharing requests that you don't want to write or didn't have the energy to write to help beginner writers/ writers block?

Personally, i think it will be helpful!! Plus, get rid of the guilt for not writing it

My love, as someone who deals with this chronically, I gotchu. We get so caught up in the excitement of potentially being able to write something for someone, only to lose the spark. Either for that particular piece, or writing in general.

I encourage you, and I learned this from my teacher, to sit and write. Write whatever. No ones going to see it anyways, write whatever you want. I write self inserts about random characters, be it entire series or mere drabbles. And just keep writing for yourself, because that’s who you need to satisfy more than anyone else. YOU.

As for guilt, once again, we get so caught up in the excitement of getting an ask, only for it to be something we don’t want to write. That’s okay. And it’s going to sting, and you’re going to overthink it, but remind yourself that this is for you. This is your hobby, your free time, your imagination at cost, and if you don’t think you can spend it on pieces you don’t want to write, don’t. It’s okay. Most people in the fandom are peaches, and they understand wholeheartedly, and maybe they’ll ask someone else.

You can decide what you do and don’t write. That’s the beauty of creativity. It’s one of the few things we genuinely have control over. Treat it gently, and it’ll take you everywhere you need to go 🩷

I love how curious Arthur Morgan is. He doesn't know if dinosaurs are real but he hopes they are and keeps an eye out for large bones. He touches the radio receiver that he was told not to touch because he wants to know what will happen. He shows up at a science lab and says he wishes he'd gone to school. He gets in a hot air balloon and is amazed. Put that man in the non-fiction section of a library and he'd devour it.

Recently learned that the color of the vest and tie Arthur wears during the Saint Denis ferry gambling mission changes depending on if you have high or low honor (blue for high and red for low) so now i am obsessed with the idea that the prominence of the colors red and blue on certain gang member’s outfit also reflects their honor level.

Whittemore variants versus Arthur’s default outfit, which doesn’t have a scrap of red on it, however no matter what his blue shirt is always fucking dirty and stained. And remember the gang criticizes you if you have blood all over you.

Hosea wears the blue vest (sometimes brown) but he generally has his red neckerchief on, but he also owns a red and black scarf. Mostly good but a little bit of bad.

Red is prominently featured on Micah. His entire shirt is red and he’s usually wearing his jacket like he’s disguising his nature. Even the the grips on his guns have red. And when you rescue him from Strawberry he does not have his coat.

Dutch is the most interesting to me. He has the checkered red scarf which he rarely wears and the red pocket square over his heart. Only the back of his vest is red, like he’s in denial about it, or that it’s only possible to see who he is when he isn’t facing you and putting on a show. Meanwhile on guarma his vest is suddenly reversed!

When Hosea is killed he is wearing a completely different outfit with a blue vest and absolutely no red, and both Milton and Dutch are covered in red!
