Love that one scene in Return Of The King that's like "bad news, sauron knows everything pippin knows. good news, pippin knows absolutely fuck all."

Tumblr media
❀ Lives on protein shakes and lean meals, but will splurge when the occasion calls for it
❀ Definitely the kind of guy to wake up at 4 am to have a 2 hour (MINIMUM) gym sesh - AND ENJOYS IT
❀ Is probably a park ranger in a National Forest and takes his job seriously. Knows anything and everything about his forest, and a LOT about other national forests like what birds are native/introduced, their calls, other critters and their sounds, mushroom types, flower types, tree types, other shrubbery types, where clean water can be found, what the weather should be like on any given day, etc
❀ Loves kids and kids love him!!! I agree that he is high energy and has no problem matching younger kids’ energy and makes learning fun and possible for them when it comes to the great outdoors!
❀ Runs a summer camp
❀ When he’s not wearing his ranger gear, he has a surprisingly good sense of style with a heavy blend of comfort. He likes to be able to move in his clothes without restrictions. Maybe like high-quality joggers and comfortable t-shirts, running shoes, a classy watch with a leather band
❀ Wears his hair down frequently save for work when it’s pulled into a messy bun
❀ I picture him as being a Taurus or some sort of earth-type zodiac. Very laid back and *STUBBORN* as heck. Enjoys making fun of zodiacs, however, but reads stuff about his zodiac for funsies (and because it’s usually pretty accurate)
❀ Hot stuff, knows he’s hot, takes full advantage of it. Very flirty and playful, especially if he’s interested in a potential ~mate~ hehehe
❀ With that being said, I feel like, even though he’d be very flirty and has a high sex drive, he wouldn’t actually have sex with someone unless he were serious about them. He’s not big on intimacy and vulnerability so he’d save that for someone he deemed worthy of his affections

Frodo: Sam hates Gollum, but that is what I shall become once I have lost myself to the ring… he’ll despise me…
Sam if Frodo did turn into a Gollum: That’s a very nice fish you caught with your bare hands, Mr. Frodo, and its very smart of you to eat it raw, saves us the trouble of starting a fire. I knitted you a sweater in case you get cold running around in that loincloth of yours. Is the sun hurting your eyes? I’ll kill it if it’s bothering you. I’ll kill the sun

Aragorn? Lofty?
Guys....guys....guys.....
I saw someone a while back complaining that Aragorn stops being interesting in RotK because once he becomes king he's too lofty and remote and loses the humanity of his character, and I just...
Aragorn lets Beregond think he's being banished for a solid five seconds before telling him he's being sent to be Faramir's captain of the guard. He refuses to tell his friends that he's getting married because if they can't figure it out then they're just going to have to wait and see. Yes, he is a great and lofty king, but he is also still clearly a man whose best friends include Gandalf and Bilbo, and who consistently trolls people as a love language.

Ooooh yeaaaaah definitely👍👍
Everytime i see a painting involving a lady with long red hair i just think yep that’s Maitimo during his years as the most prominent muse in Valinor.
I mean this guy was seriously hot in a species of already beautiful people who are known to have a love of great beauty and craftsmanshi. There has to be a lot of artwork in Valinor inspired by him.
A lot of the ones made during the years of the trees make him seem very soft and gentle. The clothes he wears are often flowing and nearly transparent and there is a large focus on his hair. All of the paintings of him seem a little different to each other with artists exclaiming that to fully capture his likeness was impossible.
Feanor’s paintings of his eldest are credited as the most accurate representation. Although he is still stunning, these artworks aren’t as focused on portraying Maitimo’s beauty. Instead they show him more relaxed sitting peacefully or preforming various tasks around their home.
After the darkening and everything that follows, Maitimo isn’t painted nearly as much. In Beleriand, he refuses a portrait not wanting a record of how he has changed. After a while though, maybe in the 3rd or 4th age he becomes a piece of inspiration again but his paintings are noticeably more melancholic and solemn-looking.
It was Finrod who first painted Maitimo scars included, something that caused quite the stir in Tirion. He couldn’t help but think that even if Maedhros had despised his appearance it would be awful to come back to a whole bunch of paintings of someone who looks nothing like you but is clearly meant to be you.
With all of the artworks focused on him or involving him, Maedhros has his own art exhibits and is a popular subject of analysis.

Completely private opinion here
Infection is bacteria...elves are made from some light or some thing so they cannot catch illnesses and they do not age...therefore nope no desinfection needed
But once again...just my thoughts
I bet someone pulls out twenty canon pages
Genuine question:
Can Elves die of an infected wound?
I mean they can of course die of wounds and poison (hello kinslaying and Aredhel), but they don't get sick from illnesses, which are mostly caused by microbial infections.
So let's say someone got a really bad cut that wasn't treated well in time, would they risk infection or does the elf immune system compensate? Do they even have antibiotics like penicillin? I mean, of course they would use herbs with antibiotic properties and Songs of Power but would it be possible for it to be something a healer discovered.

I heard about some seventy years of sun...but i have bad memory and it was in a fanfic
Does anybody knows the gap of time between the years of Fëanor and Fingolfin arrive to middle earth?
Cause I know Fingolfin arrives at the time the moon and the sun are created, but in that time, how much as passed since Fëanor has already been there?.
Its just a cuestion that popped out.🧍‍♂️

You know, it's kinda funny how much of high fantasy centers around kings and nobility and courtly intrigue considering that the archetypal high fantasy, Lord of the Rings, had the rather explicit moral of "saving the world is up to this backwater hick and his gardener because no politician, least of all inherited nobility, would have the ability to see past their own ambition and throw away a weapon". Oh sure, Aragorn is a great king and all, but there's a reason he's over there running a distraction ring while the hobbits do the real work. Sauron loses because he gets distracted by kings and armies and great battles (i.e. typical high fantasy stuff) letting Frodo and Sam sneak through his back door and blow it all to hell.
Just saying, maybe old Jirt knew what he was saying when he said that the small folk doing their best and holding to each other was more powerful than a dozen alliances and superweapons and we should respect him for it.

if i had a nickle for every time a pair in the middle earth legendarium defied a dark lord, saved each other by song, lost a limb, and got rescued by the eagles, i would have three nickles which isn't a lot but it's funny that two of the most queer-coded relationships get paralleled to tolkien's 'ultimate ideal of a romance' couple like this twice it happened thrice

Thorin and his tiny son <3
I think Thorin would definitely take Frodo everywhere, even meetings. So just imagine a very serious and important king with a tiny child in his arms!
