whether he was teasing or being honest, it didn't matter. it made her feel special all the same. taking the glass, the actress took a sip and gently rolled her eyes, "please, you're making me sound a hell of a lot more important than i am. but it's nice to have a chance to be still for a bit," she said, "especially since it seems i was missed?" she questioned, quirking an eyebrow as a tease. "but what about you?"

"of course! I did it just for you. you're a queen and deserve the best new year's celebration my lack of planning and tiny house can offer." he winked, walking to the kitchen to grab two drinks. "so, catch me up! how does it feel being back home? how long before you leave us all out here starving for your attention?" he teased with a wink, handing her the glass before sitting beside her.

"no, no!" alona found herself replying quickly, realizing she'd gotten a wire crossed somewhere "i just didn't realize you did this all for just you and me, figured it was a group thing?" she told him, but truthfully was growing more and more excited, and now a little nervous, at the thought. "i'm glad, actually," she told him, her face feeling hot as she was taking a seat. she too had been wanting to spend more time with skylar face to face -- especially since he had such a nice one. "oh i'm easy when it comes to that stuff," she said with a shrug, "i'll have whatever you're having."

"well, it's just us.." he grimaced, hoping that didn't make her uncomfortable. "but, I will absolutely invite other people, if you'd like. whatever you're most comfortable with." he smiled, hoping she'd be okay with it just being the two of them. he desperately wanted to catch up since they'd only been able to talk over social media and phone due to their busy schedules the last few months. "do you want a drink or anything to eat?"

alona had stood behind the door, instantly beeming when she saw was she was greeted with. "this is amazing," she said before throwing her arms around him and wrapping him in a warm hug and kissing him on the cheek. "your amazing, it's so great to see you." she smiled, lingering for probably just a moment too long before making her way inside. she was taking in his set up, and was pretty impressed. taking a piece of chocolate and popping it in her mouth, she spun to face him again, "wait, are more people coming, or is it just us?"

"Happy New Year, beautiful!" Skylar greeted Alona with a cheesy grin, 2024 headband, and a fringe blowout between his teeth. He was thrilled to see Alona but didn't want to give himself away too quickly. Welcoming her inside, he pointed to the slight changes he'd made in his set up. "Your hookah is fresh and ready, Catan is on the coffee table, and we're surrounded by chocolate and other snacks." // @alohaalona
