Why Kim Kardashian should be a role model to everyone

When thinking of a role model, Kim Kardashian is usually the first choice on someone’s list, even though she should be. Kim Kardashian has done so many good things for society and the country as a whole. She has been criticized for getting famous off of a sex tape, but the way she used that to drive herself up to become one of the most famous, influential people today shows that she is exceptionally talented and hardworking. I am not saying that she is perfect because she has had her mistakes as everyone does, but the way she has learned and grown from them is very inspiring

Kim Kardashian is a very successful businesswoman. From creating a family boutique called Dash, to running multi-million dollar fashion and makeup companies. Her cosmetics company is called KKW Beauty, and it has racked up millions in sales and has been praised for having such a diverse range of shades, which has recently become a demand from consumers of other makeup brands. In a world where women are seen below men in business, it is inspiring to see such a woman become so dominent in this man run world.

Her accomplishments do not just stop there. Kim has recently returned to law school to follow in the footsteps of her father, Robert Kardashian, to become a lawyer. She is always being criticized for being vain and only caring about beauty and money, but her passion is helping the less fortunate with unfair prison sentences. Even though she has not finished her law degree, she is using her platform to advocate for people who do not have the means to do so themselves. She has been a massive advocate of prison reform and has taken it upon herself to release at least seventeen people from unfair prison sentences. She has even had meetings with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to grant prisoners clemency, and to pass legislation to help improve the criminal justice system. 

Another essential problem that Kim has used her platform to speak upon is the Armenian genocide. She and her siblings grew up with an Armenian father and were introduced to the history of Armenia at a young age. Now, the Kardashian siblings are not staying quiet about the genocide of the Armenian people by the Turkish government, which murdered 1.5 million Armenians in 8 years. She raises awareness about it because many people do not even know that the genocide of that nature happened to the Armenian people, and she wants to bring attention to it.

Kim Kardashian is more than just a pretty face and should be recognized as such for all the work she does for a better world.

Why The Kardashians Aren’t That Bad

The Kardashians have gotten a nasty rap throughout their rise to fame, and not all of it is justified. The Kardashian/Jenner family has contributed a lot to society, and their success should not be overshadowed by how they dress, talk, or act.

The family has contributed a lot to body positivity in a world where stick then bodies were the only acceptable ones. They showed that having a butt is not something that you need to be ashamed of. It has helped to have different types of body types on display. Even though people still claim that their bodies look the way they do because plastic surgery, that is something that the Kardashians are not afraid to admit. Several of the Kardashian/Jenners have gotten plastic surgery to enhance their features, and they are not ashamed to admit it. One of the most well-known cases of that was Kylie Jenner and her lip fillers. When people started comparing pictures of her from when she was a teen, Kylie admitted that she has lip fillers put in because she was insecure about how small her lips were. Plastic surgery is nothing to be embarrassed about and should not be judged. People are in charge of their own lives, and if they want to change something, they will. 

Another significant change that happened in the family recently was the transition of Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner. She has been married to momager Kris Jenner for over twenty years before she came out as transgender. She has admitted that the transition was tough because it was all happening in the public eye. The acceptance of the transformation by the whole family was a great example of how to act when something like this happens in a person’s family. It is still tough for transgender people to come out in this day and age, but Caitlyn Jenner showed that there is hope for them too.

Another topic that the Kardashians have changed the stereotype on are interracial relationships. Sadly, racism and prejudice are still high in this world, and many people even do not accept interracial relationships. Most of the Kardashian family has or has had a partner that is not of the same race, and they are making it more accepted worldwide. Most television shows and movies have families that are portrayed as a singular race, and that is mostly what the public sees on a day to day basis. It is rare to see a mixed-race family, and it is still heavily judged by some people. The family has used its  platform to speak about the misconceptions about their relationships with the public.

The family may have risen to fame in unconventional ways, but they are making the most out of it to help the world become a more accepting place.
