I'm still thinking about Percy's anger.

It's something that the movies, musical, and honestly fandom in general tend to forget about or gloss over. But he has the sea in his blood.

The sea that can destroy ships and oil rigs out of seemingly nowhere. The sea that will churn and froth and pull you under, never to be seen again. The sea that can wipe out entire cities with a single, colossal wave. (Usually caused by earthquakes, which is very relevant here.)

That anger is so, so important to not just his character but the series as a whole- it's what makes Luke such an effective and interesting foil, and there's a very good argument to be made that their relationship is the single most important in the entire series.

Persassy's great and all that, but the fact that the show is not pulling punches with the anger is my favorite thing about it so far.

also on adhd in the series—annabeth's hyperfixating, social-cues-who?/"I will speak when I want and do what I want and you cannot physically unglue me from this task" adhd is so cool to see on screen. that girl is neurodivergent af and we're gonna spend the series praising her brain as a daughter of athena, on and off screen, and holy shit that is so powerful

people criticising the world-building in bottoms as if that wasn't the entire Point. it's supposed to be stupid and silly. the classes are 10 minutes long, their textbooks were all burnt conveniently, no-one has parents except hazel, nobody gives a fuck if jeff's car burnt down or if they killed a bunch of guys, etc etc. it's supposed to be silly in the way shitty romcoms usually are! and it fucks so
