“Ninth was my name,” said the new arrival. “Ninth was my hearth, and my homeland. Here have I come at your calling. None may return from the River unless he be bidden by blood-rite; tell me, why have I been drawn here?”

you have no father or mother so you don't know what their love would've been like, so you latch on to the closest thing around, your brother who is a teenager, barely an adult, who is also feeling unloved because of he doesn't fit neatly into the patriarchal ideas of what it means to be a man. you starved together, and waited for your probable deaths, but you were saved, and then you basically never saw your brother again, because he was sent to live else where, you have to live with people you don't know and be called a lord even though you are under the age of 10. stannis never visits anymore and barely writes, he has a child now, he has replaced you. you're an adult now, you barely stand to be in the same room as your brother. you love him, you hate him, it's a mix of sibling love and love that a child has for a parent. he was never supposed to be your father, and you were never supposed to be his son. he kills you when you are 21.

Everyone says Corypheus is the worst villain in a dragon age game but regardless you have to admit the line “Beg that I succeed. For I have seen the Throne of the Gods, and it was empty” goes hard as FUCK for a villainous introduction
