I searched for HOURS today for a text post I saw the other night that said “my pronouns are fuck around/find out” but the more I searched the more I realized I must have dreamed it and it was really disappointing

I wonder how often Dolores tried to tell someone that Bruno was living in their walls and got a response akin to this

This is a little headcannon that's been in my brain for a while it has to do with the doors and a sort of defence system they use. So when a Madrigal is overwhelmed they can go into their room and the door will keep people out. Here's some examples:

Isabela when she is upset her doorknob will grow thorns to keep others out.

Pepa's knob will give people an electric shock.

Antonio's isn't used that much because he's five, but when it is it will turn into a jaguar and bite the person touching it.

Luisa's door becomes to heavy for people to open.

Julieta's becomes hot enough to burn, but the pain and burn goes away as soon as you let go (this also doesn't get used often).

Dolores's is used the most out of everyone because her gift gets so overwhelming sometimes. When her doorknob gets touched it sends out a soundwave that leaves people's ears ringing.

Bruno's doorknob turns to sand when touched so no one can get a good grip on it to turn it.

Alma's door would be similar to Julieta's door except the entire door is just on fire.

And finally Camilo his door will straight up disappear into the wall. It was really scary the first time it happened because people must have thought he had either died, lost his gift or was still in there and was stuck.

au where at some point before canon camilo notices abuela being mean to mirabel and is like oh you're mad mirabel didn't get a gift? *shape shifts* were both mirabel. im mirabel two now. good luck telling us apart.

the first week he adults are like haha very funny. the second week abuela is like stop this nonsense and use your gift properly to help people. camilo doubles down on his helping mirabel is helping people policy and mirabel starts answering to camilos name to help the subterfuge.

week three, camilo has explained to julietta, and operation "two giftless mirabels" has pepa start snapping back at alma because there's a fifty fifty chance that whichever kid her mom was just mean to was hers.

the other kids start noticing that camilo doesn't have to do chores with his powers because no one knows which one is camilo. this, they decide, isn't fair. camilo explains that he would be helping around town as mirabel, but no one is letting mirabel help because no powers. luisa and dolores think this is dumb, and isabela wants to see where this goes. they stage a mutiny. none of the madrigal younger generation will do magic chores now. they still help around town, but with things they are arguably not very good at.

”luisa can you pen the donkeys?"

"oh no, were on strike until mirabel has equal rights. I can send isabela to do it, though."

"dolores can you tell me how far out my husband is from town?"

dolores can both hear and guesstimate distance. she spends an hour and a half going to where said husband is and comes back to report how many steps that was/ how long it took her. "probably less now because I had to come back."

alma: julieta you cannot possibly approve.

julieta: they're broadening their horizons and standing up for their family

alma: ...who is cooking dinner, julieta.

*several loud crashes and the smell of smoke make it evident that agustine is currently running the kitchen*

julieta: my wonderful husband volunteered to give me a break for the evening

it doesn't take a full month for alma to throw up her hands and let the kids organize themselves if they're so determined to undermine her. it takes less than two weeks after that for camilo to start being camilo again

man oh my god i just remembered my final final exam of high school, my 7th period exam for senior year, held in the auditorium with 2 other classes and like 8 total teachers watching, a guy i was on kinda good terms with asked if id let him cheat off my exam, and i was completely unable to say no to ppl so i was like "of course clifton baby i got u" but i was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE with cheating on exams so i "got up to pee" and our teacher escorted me to the bathrooms and i was like "jack buddy listen, clifton asked me to let him cheat and i said okay but i dont wanna so can u just hover near us so he doesnt get a chance to peek?" and he was like "vicky are u dumb" and i was like "yes" so he stuck near us and after the exam ended i caught clifton after school and was like "omg im so sorry! i can't believe he just hovered around us the whole time! how unfair!" and clifton was like "omg i know! dont feel bad girl its not your fault" but like girl............ it was my fault............. im sorry clifton..............
