KYOSIL exercise from Ibragim Botashev on Vimeo.

A small exercise I did at KYOSIL., mentored by Shawn Lee. The class was provided with three gold poses (first pose, stepping pose, and final pose). Our goal was to create an animation using a more layered approach. It took me a couple of evenings to "finish" the shot (not actually finished yet). I really enjoy animating this way, thinking more about the force and what leads the motion. Hope you like it!

Subtle Acting Animation Test from Ibragim Botashev on Vimeo.

Small realistic animation test I did last week at free time. My goal was to use as much as I can from reference but at the same time to avoid rotoscoping. I can't say that I fully achieved my goal and quite satisfied, but I've decided to stop at this pass. During the test I've learned a lot about subtle facial animation that will help with my other shots.
