DO YOU KNOW THE MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN US & INDIAN LAW SCHOOLS?
Tumblr media
If you are a law aspirant then this thought have particularly crossed your mind, from where to pursue the course. The law courses have become quite popular in the recent times because of many reasons. Primarily the professional courses have lost their charm to attract students from different pools. Courses like engineering and medicine have become saturated and now newer avenues should be explored for better opportunities.
Seeing the rise in the number of aspirants taking admission in law courses, the number of law colleges in Delhi NCR have doubled in past five years. These new law colleges in Delhi NCR are offering a curriculum which is up to date with the present time. The case studies which are included in the curriculum help the children to relate the current study with the current scenario.
The student which are from a non-science background or who do not want to pursue science after their 10+2 education, choose law. Majority of students who are joining the law courses in India or from India belong to this particular category. Also, a career in law is beneficial in both developing and developed countries like the USA. Good lawyers are always in demand and there are clients or companies which are ready to pay any amount for their services. These perks make the law course quite popular among the younger generation. Also, the field of law is quite wide and you have to choose a particular field to specialize in. This diversification of field in the same profession helps you to switch or try different labels under the same roof.
Prospects In US
Many students who want to pursue law are stuck in the dilemma to pursue it from India or from the US. The law courses in the US surely give an international platform. You change from the domestic settings to an international scenario where a larger vista is provided. It not only affects your perception but also influences your personality. You start with an international setting which gives you an opportunity in the international market. Also, when you pursue your studies abroad, you get to mingle with students of different nationalities.
Prospects In India
To the contradiction of international study, the present state in India is also not bad. This is because the cost of living in any foreign country is way too high than living in any metropolitan city. The students are acclimatized to the Indian education system and examination pattern. It is also not easy for everyone to adapt to the culture and practices of a foreign country. The cost of education is also very less for a student in India, in comparison to a student abroad.
Education System
The education system or the system which is specifically followed in the US is Socratic in nature. The study is more of a discussion-oriented seminar which helps the student to put forward their views on the case. In this type of study, the maximum effort is put by the students and the minimal by the professors. However, the efforts of the professors are the most crucial and shape-defining. In contrast to that, the education system in India is more lecture based. Here the teacher delivers the content to the students and the participation of the students is not mandatory but customary. In this system, maximum efforts are put by the teacher and minimal from the students. The student is more of a recipient of knowledge.
It is good for the student who actively takes part in the discussion and contributes towards the discussion.
Pro Bono
The US system encourages the student to take up various pro bono work during their studies. The curriculum is built in such a manner that students get time to perform their pro bono activities without hindering the coursework. The pro bono work is mandatory to a certain level and every student should actively take part in it. Secondly, by taking up such activities the students are involved in the community service. They also get exposure to the lives or work which they will be doing after graduation. This helps them to build up great experiences at a very early stage. The Indian education system is also accommodating some changes to keep up with others.
Instead of pro bono work, the universities or colleges in India encourages the student to take up internships in various lower or higher courts. Under any renowned advocate or solicitor-general, the students get to see the live court proceedings and learn about the cases.
Teaching
The teaching methodology in India revolves more around learning or memorizing the law or statutes. It is very important to remember the key judgements and cases with their correct names. The professor lay great emphasis on the learning of the laws and statues in India. Incorrect sections or incorrect names of the judgement can lead to serious trouble from the bar council. In contrast to this, the US law schools lay emphasis more on the reasoning by the defendant or the prosecutor than on the legal terms. It is basically the reasoning of the lawyer that makes him or her win the case.

Tumblr media
Space planning is the core of any interior design. It plays a very important role in the interior designing as the interior designer has to meet the requirements of his clients. He has to make the compact room shine and appear bigger. It is very challenging for the interior designer to design a small living space but it is not impossible. Many Interior  Designing Courses in Gurgaon teach and guide in this regard.  If you are living in a tiny apartment having small living space and are interested in doing interior designing of your home,  it is better to think and then implement the  ideas that can help you to do maximum utilization of the available space. Here are certain best tips for designing small spaces shared by some interior designers:
1. Work Within Your Limits
See the space and decide what will fit and how you will be living. Don't stuff your tiny home with too many furnitures which will create obstacles and cover full space. Be realistic and think which furniture is the best that will suit all purpose. A round or rectangle tables better fit for your dining area that will save space. Thinking before purchasing will not only solve your problem but also save time and money.
2. Go For One Paint Color & Preferably Light Color
All the walls of the small rooms, door frames must be painted with one same colour  which will blend in and make the room look bigger. Painting in different colours may actually break up the space and it will look smaller. Light coloured paint like white or cream must be used to make the space look  larger. By using darker shades the space appears smaller.
3. Quality Matters More Than Quantity
A person thinks that the space is small so he should purchase many small things for his home rather than one big thing. Actually one big thing creates a better impact than many smaller ones. It is better to get the right size
4. Lighten Up The Room
To increase the light at night make sure that there are many light sources inside the room. At least 6 to 7 sources of light all around the room will help to replace the natural daylight and flow all over the space and also reflect from metallic surface that shows as if there is more space.
5. Adding Mirrors
The best way to make a space look bigger is by adding mirrors. Mirrors makes the existing space look bigger and also brightens up the space. So better mirror wherever possible because it will spread lights and make your smaller rooms appear larger.
6. Using Multipurpose Things
The most significant thing while decorating a small room is using furniture that can be used for many purposes. Just like instead of a separate sofa and bed, it is better to have a sofa-cum-bed. When folded this can be used as a sofa during daytime and at night it can be pulled out as a bed. Even there is a storage place in it which can be utilized for storing pillows, bed sheets or many other things. A set of nesting table can be used as a coffee table and even you can make use of folding dining table. A fold-down table can be used in the bedroom or as a dining table and when not in use can be folded and pushed up on the wall. In this way by purchasing items which can be used for multipurpose will save space and money.
7. By Adding Shelves To Your Walls
When space is an issue add many shelves to the walls of your rooms. Add shelves to your bedroom as well as kitchen walls in such a manner that they look neat and thus, can be used for any purpose. Ready-made shelves are available in the market or get it done by the carpenter as required to maximize the space. Add hooks in the kitchen to hang towels
8. Go For Lifted Lighting
In homes having small space make use of wall sconces near the sofa and pendant lighting by the bed that can be hung in the air. If you rely too much on recessed ceiling lights there is a tendency of the ceiling remaining in darkness and this will make any space feel more smaller.
9. Utilize Storage Space Under The Stairs
Empty space under the stairs can also be utilized to store many things. You can make cupboards, shelves or storage cabinets under the stairs. This way you will make best utilization of available space.
10. Hanging Curtains At Greater Height By hanging curtains as high as possible very close to the ceiling will make your room appear larger and your ceilings higher. Also by hanging curtain rods 4 to 5 inches away on both sides of the window will make the window look wider and also allow more light to enter in.
