If we were to sum up the problem in a simple formula, we could say that if work once gave a social identity, that of the worker to be exact, which along with that of the citizen came to form the perfect subject, any escape from that was a truly revolutionary attempt to break out of this suffocation. Today, where capital no longer gives the worker a specific social identity but tries to use him in a generic and differentiated way, with no prospects and no future, the only struggle left against work is that of destroying it, thus procuring one’s own projectuality, one’s own future, and a new social identity in opposition to the attempts at annihilation put into action by post industrial capital.
Let’s Destroy Work, Let’s Destroy the Economy, Alfredo Bonanno
Not to sound like a millennial freak or anything but working everyday and slaving away for an organization or company or person who doesn’t care about you no matter how “good” the pay or benefits or atmosphere is is not the way human beings were meant to live. Destroying ourselves from the outside in and otherwise is neither living nor surviving and it’s so disgusting we’ve been pushed into believe that it’s just the way life is. None of us ever have truly experienced what life is lol
sure, when my grandfather fought nazis and fascism he was “a hero” and “on the right side of history” but when i do it im “way too sensitive” and “no better than they are”
