Some days ago I finished the drawing, but I forgot to share lmao

I'm starting to post on tiktok to help my art reach more people, and I posted a video of me doing the lineart! I'm gonna record my painting process next time I make another drawing of Cedric

Here is the finished drawing:

(The filter I use to enhance the colors lighted up his skin a little too much, but if you pay attention to the details you can see the lighting I did on his face, behind the bangs, inside the ear, under and over the eyes, and of course the green light coming from the projected amulet. It's not the real amulet btw. About that thing with the filter, at least the lighting on his robe is much more clearer than it is in real life, you can see the shadows a lot easier. I made this using normal school sharpies and colored pencils, The lineart is made with an ink pen and the light purple lines are from a white ink pen - that stains with the color underneath, which would normally be an inconvenience, but in this case it is very useful to me)

I didn't added the glitter yet lmao. I'm too lazy to do it, I think I won't

One of my favourite things about STF is that not all the villains get redeemed, but that only makes the redemptions more special. Like, Cedric, Nettle and Ivy were redeemed, Slickwell wasn't, but the best part is that both Wormwood and Greylock actively went from being heroes to villains!

Like, think about that. This is a kid's show, and yet the heroes become evil and never get a happy ending. It's so angsty and I love it so much, especially in Greylock's case.

And for me, this makes Cedric, Ivy and Nettle's redemption feel so earned and precious. They're good now, but they've lost things because of this. I mean, Cedric lost his only friend, forever. But he made new ones, even though it meant saying goodbye.

In the s4 StF episode 'Through the Looking-Back Glass', Sofia suggested to Calista that they tell Cordelia all the great things Cedric did, so she can finally see what a great sorcerer he truly is.

This undoubtedly includes when Cedric nobly let himself be captured by Morgana in the s3 episode 'Gone With the Wand' (the first episode Calista appeared in) so that Sofia and Calista could safety get away, and helped Merlin defeat Morgana in the same episode.

It would seem that Calista and Sofia hadn't told Cordelia about Cedric's heroic deeds from that time, indicated by Sofia's suggestion to Calista in 'Through the Looking-Back Glass' about telling Cordelia all the times he proved he was a great sorcerer. And, of course, indicated by the way Cordelia absolutely trash-talked and belittled him in 'Through the Looking-Back Glass'.

I used to wonder why the girls wouldn't have told her. They were undoubtedly proud of Cedric!

But then I realized Cedric likely swore the girls to secrecy about their entire involvement with Morgana because he might have been worried Cordelia would only blame him for her young daughter getting mixed up in the scheme of the infamous evil sorceress on his watch, like she blamed him for everything else!

(And honestly, it was VERY irresponsible of Cedric to bring Calista- and even Sofia- with him to Morgana's tower to get back the wand of Merlin's that Morgana stole; he's the adult, so he should have made the girls stay behind where it was safe, despite it being Sofia's idea they do it together).
