The concept was: Dean and Cas are two weeks into their honeymoon in Florida when Sam and Eileen leave for a hunt and not wanting to leave Jack and Miracle alone they call Jody and Donna to watch over them and bring the girls so they have company, but they too have to leave for an emergency so that means a bunch of overpowered kids and a dog are left alone for 17h and these are the photos they send to Cas and Dean

day 6: christmas curse.

Castiel drives back to the bunker as soon as he gets the text from Dean asking him to come back. He talked with Dean last night, to let him know he would be back pretty soon, so it must be an emergency.

He parks in the garage, worried when all his texts and phone calls to tell Dean he has arrived are met with silence.

He doesn’t make it to the door, the loud noise caused by another car parking in the garage making him come to a halt.

Eileen waves at him from her car, and he waits for her to get out and join him. Castiel’s confusion only grows, but he smiles back at her and leans down to kiss her cheek.

‘Do you know what happened?’ 

Castiel shakes his head, ‘I was going to ask you the same thing.’ He signs back. ‘I got a message from Dean, asking me to come here,’ she nods,

‘I got one from Sam, too.’

‘I thought something bad had happened.’ He also had two missed calls from Dean, adding to that feeling of urgency.

‘Let ’s go inside.’

Castiel nods and gestures at her to wait for him to check what is behind that closed door, thing that has Eileen rolling her eyes before she walks past him to slowly open the door.

Nothing could ever have prepared Castiel for the scene Eileen and him found in the bunker.

me: and if you think about it dean’s controlling and manipulative tendencies when it comes to sam are so much more than just his eldest daughter god complex. it’s not just that dean built his identity around his role as sam’s caretaker, it’s that he thinks he is fundamentally unlovable and attempts to compensate for that. it doesn’t really matter to him that sam is an autonomous adult with agencies that can oppose his own because dean desperately craves being loved and the only way he can earn that is by fulfilling his purpose in life: keeping sam safe. he can’t do that if he doesn’t have him close by and under his control and so when sam attempts to break free like he did in season 9, dean resorts to drastic measures to keep him by his side. what makes this even more tragic is that jensen said dean thinks cas, someone who loves dean so much he literally invented free will for it and could change this mindset, is incapable of experiencing human emotions and therefore dismissive of his love for him. and that’s why destiel endgame would have satisfyingly resolved every main character arc - by accepting cas’ unconditional love, dean accepts that he is worthy of it and breaks the cycle of anger and abuse; cas finally finds his place in the world and knows that he is wanted; and sam is free to live life the way he wants without having to accommodate dean’s abandonment issues
