4 years out from it - it is very funny that they went that gay angel has got to die put him back in offscreen heaven. impalement for ambiguous terminal bachelor famous ladies man who hasn’t actually had a hookup in years. we order death by clown. and then they said. send sam’s ass to blurry wifetown. put him in straight suburbia STAT

friendly reminder that metatron wanted kevin dead because he was worried a prophet could translate something off of the tablets that would help the winchesters and castiel take him down. gadreel possessing sam just meant he had easier access but is not the motive for the murder and had gadreel not been there kevin still would have died, just at some other angel’s hand

Gabriel would be SO supportive of Midam and simultaneously think it's the funniest thing on earth. His oldest brother, God's most loyal soldier, abdicating post for the secret third Winchester brother. Absolute best day of his life.

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died in Washington State on Friday afternoon because a dipshit Tesla driver rear-ended him at speed. A Snohomish man, 56, was commuting in his 2022 Tesla Model S when he activated the car’s camera-based advanced driver assist system and according to his statements to police, began looking through his phone. With nobody paying attention to the car’s actions, the Tesla software ignored Jeffrey Nissen on his motorcycle and continued on at speed. The car rear-ended the two-wheeler, Nissen was flung from the bike, and his life ended pinned underneath the electric car, where he was still lodged when police arrived to the scene.
Tesla claims another life.
Reminder that even if you are personally aware of how dangerous Tesla vehicles are and vow to never ride in one, they can still kill you.
My own driving habits have changed around them. I always give Teslas extra space, avoid following them directly, and expect them to stop or swerve suddenly without notice.
Cannot count the times I've pulled up next to a Tesla at freeway speed, noticed the driver playing on their phone. Tap the horn. They look up with surprise.
Please, don't be that guy.

also i have never thought of dean allowing gadreel to possess sam as a violation of sam’s autonomy. dean was acting basically as a healthcare proxy for his brother who was in a coma, making medical decisions for sam because sam was not able to do so himself. it’s not like sam was sitting there actively saying “do not under any circumstances let a strange angel possess me” and dean went ahead and did it anyway, directly violating sam’s vocal wishes. multiple times over the course of s8, whenever dean and sam had talked about it, sam had said that he didn’t want to die, he wanted to live. based off the information he had, dean made yes an admittedly drastic decision, but not one that’s totally out of left field for the in-universe world? when dean was dying in season three, sam wanted him to harvest organs and keep himself alive like frankenstein’s monster. so. let’s have some perspective

Being a deancrit is calling Dean an abuser for things Sam and Cas also did and for things that didn’t happen or have been so grossly misrepresented that a normal viewer can barely connect the deancrit’s argument to the show.
All it takes to be a samcrit is pointing out things Sam canonically did in Supernatural.

My ideal aesthetic is what I'm calling "sexy tomboy". That is to say, I am 100% femme through and through, but I want to look like what a straight man's idea of a "masculine woman" is. I wanna be masc in the way that LaCroix is fruit flavored, just a little extra something to make things a little more interesting

Sophie grifting: hot duchess. seductive investor. mysterious businesswoman.
Eliot grifting: ridiculously competent chef. hot athlete (any sport). heartthrob country musician.
Hardison grifting: overly-confident criminal. assertive FBI agent. heartthrob classical musician.
Nathan Ford grifting: goddamn piece of shit oily slimy scumbag ambulance-chaser untrustworthy con artist with a stupid fucking voice and a silly hat
the show is not doing Nate any favors in the likeability or attractiveness departments here
(Bonus mention: Parker grifting: autism creature)

I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.
- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.
- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.
- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.
That's love. 🐈‍⬛🐈❤️

Eliot rattling off murder tips and Sophie going “I’m scared now” and Eliot saying, in a complete duh tone, “I’m here.” Looking genuinely ‘wtf’ for a second when Sophie says, “You’re what’s scaring me.” Eliot, who’s been taught to see himself as a weapon, having been so effectively retrained by Parker (and a little bit Hardison and the others, but mostly Parker) treating him as if the thought of being hurt while he’s around, let alone by him, is patently ridiculous, because obviously he’s always going to protect them, that the thought of one of the team being scared of him - or being scared of anything else while he’s around - becomes automatically, instinctively absurd. My baby he’s grown so MUCH

rewatching elementary now with the knowledge Jonny Lee Miller had started with his own sobriety and recovery whilst filming is honestly transcendent. He is so GOOD. he is gut-wrenching. The scene where Sherlock explains his sobriety feels like a leaking faucet that requires constant maintenance and offers only not to drip in return - jlm does this thing with his voice where he's on the verge of tears but bored all at once. He's wrecked by a feeling he's utterly sick to death of having. It's such a compassionate performance. On another level it is truly crazy to me that we have so many Sherlock Holmes adaptations so eager to make Sherlock an addict, but Elementary is far and away the only adaptation that does that and takes the addiction seriously. Perhaps in part because of JLM's real life recovery, but we'll never know. On a rewatch, it's a lot :')

taylor swift’s work wouldn’t be nearly as insufferable if she wasn’t constantly trying to present herself as some sort of tortured underdog. like, okay, she has endured hardships, and a lot of people, especially white men, are shitty towards her for purely misogynistic reasons. that sucks, i agree. but she’s never been an underdog before. she was born to well-off parents who did everything they could to start her music career when she was barely even a teenager, an opportunity that lots of people would kill for. now she’s extremely famous and wealthy, and everything she releases is destined to sell millions of copies and receive glowing reviews in nearly every publication. she is not an underdog, and i have trouble believing she’s particularly “tortured.” she’s not even an alcoholic, despite claiming to be one on the opening track of her new album! people like to defend her lyrics by saying she’s just playing a character, which i don’t believe for a second, but even if she was, i don’t think i want to listen to someone like swift play the character of a tortured underdog, not when there’s so many musicians out there who are actually tortured underdogs. it comes across as hollow. “you wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me,” sung by one of the wealthiest, most famous, most critically acclaimed musicians in the world, who was born to loving parents who personally helped her start her career, who once said she’d never been to therapy because she “just feels very sane.” if you’re going to play a character, maybe pick one who we’re not supposed to pity.
