i really like the hc that magic loved arthur and protected him until merlin came into the picture but very specifically bc it means his idea of like. the laws of physics and How Nature Works would be completely warped. the reason why all those miraculously falling branches didnt raise any questions? its been happening to him his entire life

It's a bit disheartening since you can't even get feedback and I don't know if I did okay or not. And I know I got clicks, too since I do get kudos at the very least. But comments hit different, because they can uplift an author the same way a fic lets a reader's imagination soar.

Okay as a new Merlin fandom member (I only know about the ending through tumblr spoilers rn) but does the fandom actually believe that Arthur will come back one day, or does the ending kind of imply that the prophecy is wrong? The idea of Merlin literally waiting forever over a false hope/ prophecy is haunting me and I’m hoping I just wasn’t spoiled correctly

#I believe he will come back but there is endless tragedy in the waiting and unknown of if and when he will #also it’s a test of Merlin’s ‘faith’ as it were which is just. so. juicy of a concept #and so so painful #but what’s more painful is if Arthur didn’t come back #then what would it all be for #then Merlin’s existence wouldn’t make sense #and he wouldn’t have control over anything #but he doesn’t either way #the only thing more powerful than an immortal being is the unknown #it’s just rife with meaning to me #this is all to say that yes Arthur will come back #but that’s not what matters #Merlin is

Hi, so, I was given a new theme for composition in my studies, called Reflection. And without hesitation, I told for a long time that I wanted to draw a plot from that fiction (“tintagel” by seperis) that I was going to illustrate (in my dreams) and my professor really approved of my idea. It was unexpected, am I really going to draw just a huge fan art based on fan fiction from the 2008 TV series??? AS A STUDY SERIOUS ARTWORK. AWESOME, RIGHT?

The plot for the art composition (SPOILER TO THE FANFICTION IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT): to reflect that Arthur and Merlin live the events of Igraine and Nimue, through reflection in the mirror because I have to justify the theme of the composition and not just fanart on my favorite TV series :(

Okay, but here's the problem, I've been sketching for two weeks and my professor keeps finding new details that are worth changing or adding, and he doesn't like what I'm doing anymore. as a result, we returned to the very first sketch that you see in the post. I really hope that I will do it well.
