I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

randomly remembering the time in 2012 when everyone kept saying the world was going to end at midday that day and like, i didnt really believe it, but i didnt want to be a complete fool if i was wrong, so i excused myself from class to go sit the field and perfectly timed the beat drop to a skrillex song just in case something happened. and im just. retroactively amused by the idea of ushering in the appocalypse with skrillex. most 2012 thing you could possibly do.

I mean yeah, it is interesting to consider. You can be a horrible, irredeemable person, and have felt legitimate injustice. I think the most interesting villans are those whose actions, while being unforgivable and evil, stem from something we understand. It's what makes him a good counter for Luz. Luz's insecurities come from comparing herself to others. Belos and Luz have a lot in common, and the peak of her self doubts are a result of her equating herself to him. Belos and is like a dark reflection of Luz, he's what she very well could've been, had she not been such a kind-hearted person who wasn't raised on intolerance. And also, I absolutely think Belos is the most interesting character, as the villan often is. He starts with a ton of dark mystery surrounding him, to the point I wish I could go back to when we were still wondering just what he was. Then, even after his true identity was revealed, he still remained, debatably even more interesting, as he not only developed into a realistic feeling depiction of a fascist dictator, and an abuser, but he was a fucking puritan. Most shows are scared to handle even one of those as a villan, yet Belos is masterfully written as all three. I easily find him the most interesting character.

I mean, it's pretty much a stereotype that bigoted people are in the closet themselves, so the idea of Belos being gay/trans but hiding out of shame is interesting. At least to me.

You’re telling me that in a show with several queer characters (one of them being the protagonist who was once in the closet herself), three nonbinary characters, and a few more queer coded characters, you’re choosing to be interested in the *checks notes* gender-conforming genocidal Puritan colonizer who once said that he’d “cleanse this perdition” in reference to the Boiling Isles.

You’re telling me that you find that interesting. You find it interesting that Belos, the one who white washed the Boiling Isle’s history, called the indigenous people “savages”, abused his nephew (a canon bisexual) to the point where he flinches whenever an adult raises their hand near him, destroyed the environment, is more interesting than Luz (the canon bisexual protagonist).

Blackout poetry exists on a dual axis from "banal" to "insightful" on the input side and "kind of deep" to "incredibly fucking dumb" on the output side, and while taking something banal and producing something kind of deep is well and fine, for my money taking something insightful and rendering it incredibly fucking dumb is where the real art is.
