I see some people freaking out because online translators turn the new Manga Volume’s title ファインダーの最果て into “The end of Finder”.
最果て however means “the farthest end” as in the deepest point of the Abyss.
So no, Finder is not ending with Volume 11. That would not make any sense anyway because the book will end with the ‘Pray in the Abyss’ arc. The most recent chapter and everything following would go into Manga Volume 12… 13… and so on.
I see this fallacy pop up again and again and wonder where it’s coming from.
Asami is not a Yakuza. He has contacts with them. He does work for them. But he is not a member of a Yakuza organization nor does he run one.
He’s a freelance criminal with his own organization - but that does not mean that he is a Yakuza himself.
Yakuza are very strict, ritualizing, hierarchical, traditional groups whose members are understood to be cast-outs from society. Nothing of that is showing in Asami.
As a matter of fact EVERYTHING about Asami screams “NOT A YAKUZA!” completely unambiguously.
Now I'm not sure. I want your story in the main story, but seeing Asami suffer like this makes my heart terribly sad 💔😭.
Following what happened after Chapter 87 of Finder No Hyouteki. Contains spoilers.

The gun from his hand dropped onto the ground as the older male attempted to shield Akihito from the bullets and all Akihito watched in horror as Asami’s face contorted with pain and his body shook from the shots that continued riddled his body.
