the funniest dynamc between my boyfriend and i is the chef/baker divide runs so deep. experimentally my boyfriend is a genius with figuring out what flavor profiles will not just taste good together but also will be enjoyed by the specific audience he is cooking for. a recipe is not a guidebook so much as a suggestion and he will frankenstein ideas together to get exactly what he wants to happen. he also didnt know that sugar will not work properly if you dont mix it with the wet ingredients in banana bread and when i asked 'why didnt you do it in the order of the recipe' he said 'i didnt really think it mattered'. autistically i exploded his head in my mind

Let’s make one thing clear! Riz would have killed kalvaxus whether that was his dad’s murderer or not. He was working on the case, not because of his tragic backstory, but because he noticed his babysitter went missing, then noticed a bunch of other girls had also gone missing. He was already working the case to start out with because he realized something was up and worked on the case no one else seemed to be paying attention to or caring about. He wanted to figure out the mystery to help those girls.

Riz doesn’t get good adventures because he’s tragic, he gets good adventures because he’s smart and can find connections where no one else can. Because he refuses to give up when he finds a mystery. (to the point where he has a mystery tattooed all over his body)

I'm currently experiencing The Thing Which is Happening and being in the MIDDLE of it is ESPECIALLY strange. Very odd kind of non-feeling

really strange how you can be almost at peace with something that happened to you but it will continue to be a defining moment of your life for the rest of your life. you wont think about it much anymore but in a conversation about a film someone will mention the year it was released and you’ll think to yourself, “that was before it happened” and you’ll see an old photo and think how strange it is to have existed before it happened and somehow it’s like living a life in two acts

You know what made me really happy this episode. When Kristen tried being catty to Aelwyn to make her more comfortable. Because not only does that mean they really care for her, it also means that Adaine went and told the others about how Aelwyn felt uncomfortable with al the therapist speak and niceness. And maybe even asked them if they could do something about it. And I just think that is beautiful

I feel like a lot of people don’t quite get what a butler is. The role tends to get rounded off to ‘male servant’ pretty regularly in some media, whereas actually butlers are typically not just servants but chief servants. The butler was generally in charge of either all male servants or just all servants, period, in the household of an aristocrat or other very wealthy person. This meant that butlers have often been fairly powerful and influential people, and sometimes even had a manservant or two of their own.

(Also, fun fact: Mary Roberts Rinehart, the early 20th century mystery writer who is widely credited with popularizing the whole ‘the butler did it’ trope was nearly murdered by one of her own servants, a chef whom she had passed over for promotion to butler. He came at her with a pistol, but it jammed, allowing her chauffeur time to wrestle it away and restrain him.)

Daily reminder to you all that Sandra Lynn was a 17-18 year old highschool graduate manipulated by an older adventurer in a position of power over her. Something that left her with lasting trauma that heavily impacts her interpersonal relationships to this day. Bobby and/or Pamela are not an example of her "baffling taste" or of her "messiness" they are the direct cause of her trauma. Thank you.

i love the preview for next weeks fhjy episode it was so funny but i especially love fig's response to why she's fireproof. brings up nothing of her demonic heritage, only her girlfriend, of which she was most certainly fireproof before meeting. she makes it sound like she somehow BECAME fireproof for her hot phoenix babe girlfriend. like oh so ayda is on fire? better become immune so we can kiss. kristen is about to get out lesbian'd, beat at her own game by a bisexual (the game is loving women)

I thought my blorbo was gonna be the sad detectives but truly I think it's the sexually repressed mad scientist who skulled maple syrup, who has thought about a girl who smiled at him everyday of his life since it happened, who tried to do a good thing once and it went so bad that he decided to never do that again until his midlife crisis hit him like a freight train and led to his defenestration.

Something I just noticed about Jace's design is that, while he has always had the scarf, it wasn't always covering his chest.

I'm not sure if this actually matters, or if it's going to be retconned or something, but this would imply that he wasn't being affected by the rage crystals in Freshman Year.
