PSA About Ibuprofen: Please Read

i know it's become a joke on this website to talk about taking ibuprofen over the smallest inconveniences, and i just wanted to say while it's not bad to take ibuprofen, please be careful with it. it is in a class of drug called non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs, which all carry a risk of stomach bleeding, ulceration, and damage:

i was put in the emergency room for a bleeding stomach ulcer and have life-long stomach problems due to another drug in this class called Naproxen. most people don't seem to know about this very real potential danger that comes with using this medication regularly.

every time you take ibuprofen, please make sure you eat a heavy snack or light meal before you take it. i'm serious. this may sound like an over-cautious measure, but you do not want to ruin your stomach over a very middling pain/fever relief drug.

if you find that you regularly take ibuprofen, i highly recommend seeking professional help (if possible) for your pain, as it is NOT normal to have to take ibuprofen regularly, nor is it good for your stomach or other organs for that matter. if you can't seek medical help, i highly advise you to reduce how much you take ibuprofen and see if it is safe for you to substitute some of that with acetamenophin/tylenol. tylenol IS hard on the liver, so not everyone can take this, but it is NOT an NSAID, which means it does not carry the risk of stomach bleeding.

i know we like to joke on here but this can really hurt you if you're not careful. please ALWAYS read the labels for EVERY medication you take, even seemingly "Safe" ones like ibuprofen and tylenol. they are NOT "safe", especially when taken in ways they are not even intended to be taken. thank you for your time.

I LOVE LOVE LOVEE how its canon that Jason is super physically clingy and just generally really giddy and adorable while he's excited. This is shown multiple times it warms my heart 🥹 also he canonically gives out the best hugs too which is super refreshing since everyone always assumes that he's cold and intimidating 🥹🔫

When he bear hugged Percy after he came back to tartarus. (HoH)

When opened his arms out to nico excitedly after he said he'd stay at Camp half blood. And gave him the most bone crushing hug ever after nico gave permission (Boo)

When he excitedly leaned in and kissed Piper after she figured out the meaning of the Storm/Fire line in the prophecy. (HoH)

When he was super excited to talk about Roman historic leaders he kept yapping on and on about them to the point he didn't even realize that Leo was mocking him, bc he was just too excited (HoH)

When apollo noted that Jason's eyes noticeably "brightened" after he mentioned to jason that Thalia said hello. (TOA)

When he wanted Thalia to stay w him in the lost hero and talk more :(

Being a young adult is so strange. You enter a coffee shop. The 20 year old girl waiting behind you cried all night because she just came to a new city for university and she feels so alone. That 27 year old guy over there works a job he is overqualified for, he lives with his parents and wants to move out but doesn't know what to do about it. That one 24 year old dude already has a car, a house, and a job waiting for him once he graduates thanks to his dad's connections. The 26 year old barista couldn't complete his higher education because he has to work and take care of his family. The 28 year old girl sitting next to you has no friends to go out with so she is texting her mother. That couple (both 25 years old) are married and the girl is pregnant. Once my friend Henry was accused of wearing wireless headphones by a substitute so she said for him to hand them over so he took them off and handed them to her. Then later on she asked him a question and he didn’t respond so she said it louder and he still didn’t respond. Please help me. My name is Shirley. I am autistic and disabled. I ran away from my abusive parents a few years ago. I’ve been moving from place to place. A man offered me a place to stay when I was homeless. He knew I had Asperger’s syndrome and took advantage of me. I basically slept with him for shelter. A couple of months ago I was able to find my own apartment. Things went downhill when I was fired from my third job. It has been very difficult for me to find employment due to mental health issues. I have been transferring money out of my credit card to my debit card in order to pay my rent. I also have to pay interest, which makes worse. My credit card is about to be maxed out and I could get evicted.

Petition to add more disabled magical creatures in fantasy

Like picture a mermaid. When they have to be on land their tail turns to legs, but because their body is used to lower gravity their joints tire easily and are chronically in pain.

Also depending on how deep in the ocean they live, it’s likely they have circulation problems because their body is used to the water pressure holding everything where it needs to be and now their blood is always fucking pooling in their legs and they have to wear compression socks everywhere.

Wheelchair user mermaids. Partially/fully blind mermaids because who needs to see when there’s no light at the bottom of the ocean?

Mermaids with sensory issues who have to wear headphones all the time because sound is so much louder up here on land and they are constantly overstimulated. And also the sun is simply Too Bright™.

Mermaids who have POTS because in the water postural changes make no difference and their bodies don’t know how to stabilize with so much gravity.

I’m really fixated on the mermaids rn but PLEASE feel more than welcome to add more!!!! I wanna hear about disabled dragons
