Atlanta Movers - Professional Atlanta Movers from an excellent Atlanta Moving Company
Mark the Mover Inc at (404) 351-0018 are professional Atlanta movers offering the most complete and caring customer service for those relocating to and from and all around metropolitan Atlanta, in fact moving to and from all over the South Eastern United States. We are locally owned and operated and carry a full inventory of moving supplies, and use modern moving trucks and our movers are all professional movers. In addition to moving and relocation, we also do packing, crating, climate controlled storage, and can palletize and band LTL shipments for you. We are a full service moving and relocation company and can help you today at (404) 351-0018
Mark the Mover started in 1978 with Mark and his pickup truck helping friends and neighbors move in and around the Atlanta area. Mark concentrated on doing a good job and building a reputation for taking care of his customers. Mark the Mover grew up buying old u-haul trucks and concentrating on local moving services, by the time the Olympics in 1996 rolled around, less than 20 years later, Mark the Mover was a million dollar corporation. By comparison, your average McDonald's is a multi-million dollar store. So while Mark the Mover was becoming a real small business, we were pretty small.
Mark the Mover has continued to grow since the Olympics and has even more trucks. We still buy more used trucks than new trucks, but we have a rigorous program of maintaining all our moving equipment. We perform daily inspections on all our trucks, you cannot miss them, they are white local delivery trucks with the Mark the Mover truck logo on the side.

Moving Services Atlanta Ga
If you have never hired a mover, or hired the cheapest mover in the past, you may have decided it's time to look for a good mover. The internet is a great place to start, especially places like Kudzu.com and Yelp where Atlanta consumers leave reviews on companies. These resources are a great place to learn about moving companies. One moving company had a review where the moving company showed up with a pickup truck, and another review we found the moving company dragged their feet and refused to unload the truck unless they received a cash payment more than double the amount agreed upon.
What's troublesome about the latter review was that it was for a moving company that normally does a good job. It turns out, their name was hijacked by another company. This turned out not to be the exact cause of this complaint, but this does happen. At Mark the Mover, we had a call from a woman in Marietta Georgia who thought we had moved her, but a fly by night operation had actually used our logo on a fake form to re-assure this moving customer and then they did a poor job and overcharged her. Unfortunately, we were never able to track the sleazeball down and sue him.
That's why at Mark the Mover, we put our phone number, 404-351-0018 all over our web page. All of our email goes to an email address that ends in @markthemover.com
Make sure you know who you are dealing with, make sure you have contacted the proper company, check their ratings on Yelp and Kudzu.com, and check their BBB rating. Ask around too, because after moving thousands of people in Atlanta, Roswell Georgia, Duluth Ga and Alpharetta, you are sure to hear about the good work we do at Mark the Mover, Inc.

Atlanta Movers
If you are anticipating some household relocation in the near future, and you have a lot of stuff, you may be looking for a moving company near Atlanta, Roswell Ga, Duluth Georgia or Alpharetta. If you have used a moving company in the past and were happy with their moving services, more often than not we would predict you would use that company again.
At Mark the Mover more than half our moving customers are repeat customers, or they are friends or acquaintances of one of our thousands of moving customers. The quiet little moving company, you see less advertising for Mark the Mover than most any other moving company. Except maybe for our trucks. Our trucks are the big white trucks with blue and black lettering that says Mark the Mover.
We think it's important to provide big, shiny, clean moving trucks well stocked with the moving supplies and equipment that our customers need. That and our well trained crews dressed in Mark the Mover shirts and uniforms gives our customers assurance that they are dealing with a big time proud moving company.
So move with the moving services in Atlanta company that puts their efforts into moving you household, not into loud commercials or schemes that sound too good to be true. In fact, some potential customers call other companies and get lowball numbers for moving costs, and it is only after attempting to move with one of these deals do customers appreciate our straight forward approach.
We are not the most expensive company, but we don't try to be the cheapest either. More desperate moving companies that don't have an established name in the moving services arena have no choice but to try to cut their costs and services to the bone to compete. But we always want to make sure we meet the expectations folks have come to take for granted when purchasing moving services from Mark the Mover.

Moving services companies, Atlanta Ga
When hunting for a reliable and trusted moving company, a good first start is to ask friends and neighbors about moving services. That's good for Mark the Mover too, the quiet moving company where we spend less on advertising than our competitors. We see a steady stream of customers that are repeats or were referred to us by happy customers in the past. You see, we believe in putting our money and efforts into doing a good job, and with more than three decades of moving services for folks all around Atlanta, the payoff for us is this steady stream.
But there are other ways that our customers use to measure up moving services in Atlanta, Alpharetta and Roswell Georgia. Many of our customers go to an online review site like Kudzu.com and look at the hundreds of reviews for Mark the Mover. We especially like Kudzu, a Cox Media Group entity, as they employ hundreds of Atlanta natives in their various enterprises. But other online review resources are out there too, like Best Picks Home Reports and the Angie thing.
We like this feedback with these forms of promotion, we will stack up the quality of our crews, and how clean and well stocked our big white trucks are with any local moving services provider in Atlanta, in fact all over the southeast. In addition to local moving services, Mark the Mover does a great deal of moving around the southeastern states, like Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina and even Kentucky, Virginia, Washington DC, New York and West Virginia! We are not just a local moving company, but perfectly capable of providing longer distance relocation on an expedited basis.
At Mark the Mover, we don't offload your long distance moving requirements to other carriers. Most major van lines need to pack your household goods on large trucks with other customers to achieve an economy of scale that helps them achieve higher profits and lower prices. Bit this also causes delays in the delivery of your things and there is a higher risk of a mishap because boxes and furniture are handled more times to move from truck to truck. Our approach is more expensive, but it is a faster approach, using our large moving vans dedicated to your delivery from state to state.
Mark the Mover may not be the right mover for everyone searching for moving services, we are also not the least expensive or the most expensive. But we like to think that Mark the Mover is an intelligent choice in moving companies for movers seeking a fair deal in local and long distance household goods carriers for their moving needs.

Free online cubesheet calculator
A cubesheet is a means of determining the weight and volume of household goods in preparation for moving. Consumers can use a cubesheet to determine the number of relocubes or pads required, to determine the size of storage unit they intend to rent, or to check the estimate of a moving company. Many moving companies will perform a survey over the telephone and provide a binding or non-binding estimate of weight and volume. Unfortunately, when the consumer reads the fine print they discover that the moving company raises the price substantially for consumers that go over the estimated weight or volume.
Less than stellar companies will provide a low-ball price to hook consumers into a moving service. But big moving companies with established reputations try to make an honest assessment of the moving cost that the consumer can expect to incur. Consumers sometimes fall for the low-ball pricing and only discover after the no-name moving company already has half their household on the truck that they are going to play games and run up the bill.
These shady operators often give consumers the feeling that the honest estimate is too high, they goad the consumer into using their services only to provide poor service at high prices once the moving services are finally settled.
If you are dealing with a moving company binding or non-binding estimate and wish to ascertain the accuracy of weight and volume calculations, a free, no-obligation online cubesheet calculator is available under the household inventory tab at Mark the Mover. Simply go to the Mark the Mover website and click on Household Inventory where you need to enter your email and make up a password. You will be able to fill out a household inventory and get an estimate of the weight and volume of household goods for your household relocation effort.

With over three decades of moving services, we have grown into one of the best know names in the moving business. Located right here in Atlanta, we regularly serve moving customers in Alpharetta, Roswell Georgia and Johns Creek.

Since we spend very little on advertising, we depend on repeat customers and referrals for more than half of our moving business.
We might grow more slowly than other moving companies that have come and gone over the years, but our reputation is growing and it's a good one. We our efforts in to doing a good job with clean cut and professional moving crews, while other companies spend too much on billboards and television advertising. I guess we aren't too popular with people selling advertising though.

Moving Companies near Duluth Ga
Households looking for moving companies near Duluth Ga can find a good company by asking about the relocation experiences of their friends and neighbors, co-workers and family. At Mark the Mover we love this approach, and it works because for more than three decades Mark the Mover has provided the highest possible level of customer service for moving customers around Atlanta.
Starting in Virginia Highland 34 years ago, Mark, some friends with his pick-up truck began providing moving services in a friendly and gratitude filled manner, and the company continues to send out well dressed, unformed, courteous local moving professionals in well stocked moving trucks. By asking your friends who they moved with, chances are you will hear of good experiences with Mark the Mover, especially when they have moved in and around Atlanta before.
But let's say you don't have any friends, how would you find out about good moving companies? That's where on-line reviews like you can find at Kudzu and Yelp come into play. Mark the Mover has a lot of reviews, and we are not sure why. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we don't advertise much. We believe every dollar possible should go into your relocation and not into billboards and television commercials. Maybe some bigger companies with Australian accents can afford to spend a third of the cost of your move on television, but at Mark the Mover, we don't even have a lizard for a Mascot.
So for a quality, experienced, if not known too well, but reliable moving company is your cup of tea, consider using Mark the Mover for a moving company near Duluth Ga

Atlanta Movers
At Directory M our article got put number three
1. Ask around, use google, yahoo and bing, and check with the Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau to find six good movers. See if one of these is doing extremely well, and pick two others. Get quotes and estimates.
2. Watch out for companies that pose as movers, these high commission high pressure operations should be avoided.
3. Low price probably mean slower crews and you risk if problems arise being stuck with a bad outcome.
4. Flat rate moves could leave you unfinished if the movers say enough, or with escalating prices due to the fine print.
Closing Headaches and Moving
Having trouble scheduling and rescheduling your closing?  With 24 to 48 hours notice, and a paid deposit, we will work with you to schedule our professional crews to make your move as hassle free as possible.

Finding a reputable moving company
From DIRECTION Magazine representing the American Moving and Storage Association with the websites www.promover.org the have an article entitled 'Scam Movers Arrested'. DIRECTION magazine and the AMSA are driving a program called ProMover in which legitimate moving companies can be more easily identified by the consumer. There is a great difficulty in the moving industry in that the number of boiler room operations that offer lowball estimates only to hold household goods hostage to extort exorbitant amounts of money. Slightly out of context, one sentence of the article says 'After they hired one of the companies, the movers were criminally charged' - in relation to a sting run by the Florida State Department of Consumer Services to entrap one of these unscrupulous movers.
At Mark the Mover, at (404) 351-0018, on Carroll Drive in Atlanta Georgia we have a 32 year reputation of quality moving. Many people call Mark the Mover for pricing and when contacting moving companies, we think this is a good thing. But we don't engage in the race for the low price, we stress instead the quality of our product. Many consumers respect this, but for some the lower prices win out, and there are times, we admit, that decent reputable moving companies may beat us on price. But we strive to make certain that we are never beaten on a quality product, and we will never play the unethical and cruel games that consumers risk involving themselves in by shopping only for the lowest price.

moving day and good manners
Moving can be a hassle, but moving the right way requires manners. Try to book your movers at least a week in advance to make sure you get a quality moving company and remember the best price will be achieved by agreeing to start moving around 9 AM. During weekdays your neighbors should have left for work and not be bothered by your relocation efforts. Your movers should be neatly dressed and their shirts should sport the name of the moving company. They should not play loud music or argue. Your moving crude would be rude to ask for a tip, or in any way insinuate that a tip would help things go better. The moment you hear such extortion, call your moving company immediately as any reputable mover cannot stand for such uppitiness. Your movers should never leave their rolling equipment on sidewalks or public paths where a citizen could trip. Likewise, they should move your household goods directly to the van and not leave an unsitely pile of boxes on the lawn. Not to mention moving equipment!    Moving is thirsty work! A stock of plastic cups by the kitchen sink can help assure that your relocation specialists are amply watered. Tea and biscuits are quite optional. Pizza might seem a treat but sometimes your crew has already brought their high carbohydrate lunches and need only a short break for lunch, and perhaps fifteen minutes every four hours. They are as eager to see your hosehold relocation completed as are you. Sometimes moving day is a good day to have plenty of bins for rubbish. Whether moving out or moving in, make sure you have plenty of heavy duty sacks and a dist-bin to avoid creating an unsitely mess.
Disposing of used boxes - Some who seek to excercise a keen eye toward conservation and the green practice of recycling may want to return their used moving boxes to a moving box recycling service. Check with your moving company and use the internet to find options other than throwing away slightly used corrugated products.
