I like stories where a normal human child is being raised by a sinister supernatural being who is totally malevolent except when it comes to their kid. Those are so much better than the “kids are scary” changeling type horror movies.

I love the idea of Yelena traveling all over the world to continue freeing widows and from every new place, she mails Kate a random nondescript fork. No note. No explanation. No return address that makes sense. Then the next time she’s back in New York and breaks into Kate’s place to cook, she pulls open a drawer in the kitchen and it’s full of the forks she sent her. And Yelena just cackles.

Nam Dosan is the absolute sweetest. There he goes again making me cry. His scene with grandma made me cry so much.

So happy for the ending. Dalmi and Dosan deserve all the happiness in the world and I’m glad they both got that.

ok i said nam do san was one of the BEST male leads in kdrama world and heres why: 

first off, he IS a breath of fresh air.  you usually get that arrogant cold male lead who eventually warms up when they meet the girl they liked but Do-san was kind, intelligent, AND handsome (underlying that nerdiness and dumbassery lol) since the start, too pure, unassuming, and innocent to a fault. he was a dream guy but he wasnt perfect and unreachable or unrealistic. he was relatable. but that didnt make him a boring character. it made him more interesting and complex. 

2nd, he tries his best. given he wasnt perfect, oh he was far from it, he was a work in progress trying to overcome his struggles as a pride of his family and his childhood bruises, he makes up for his flaws and mistakes. he has self-awareness and always strives to make himself better. even if it was hard. 

3rd, he was kind. because he was kind, he agreed to help dalmi (and JP with his lie) without anything in return. he carried all the burden of JP and grandma’s lies even if it was crushing him, even if he didnt have to, he innovated a technology that helps blind people. he goes extra miles for his friends. he accommodates other people’s feelings first before his. the list is long. 

4th, he crushes gender stereotypes and allows himself to be vulnerable. we know the issue toxic masculinity. the issue of men not being allowed to cry or show any human feelings lol but dosan cries when he was hurt. knits when he was upset!!! KNITS. god every time he knits, i just wanna put him in my pocket and protect him at all costs. and not just he is open with showing vulnerability, he also isnt afraid of showing his feelings for dalmi. when he realized he liked her, he goes above and beyond to make sure dalmi knew and that she feels she was loved by him. a contrast to JP who was denying it half the series and lost his chance.  

and lastly, he brings out the best in dalmi. he always listen to her dreams even if she thinks its silly or almost impossible. he makes it happen. they are a team. he was always there to give her strength and encouragement and he completely and wholeheartedly believes in her. 

i have so many! but these are the ones that stood out at the moment ill update this if i suddenly have this rush of affection for him. lol i love him so much i cant move on. hes one of my fave kdrama character.
