facial features try their best not to wear any judgement . the male understood that to some , their pets were their babies and it was clear that was the case with aylin . maybe if pennies stretched a little further , costanza too would have a bowtie for every occasion and not just a discount rack collar . fingertips lift a branch from the forest wreckage and toss it as far as an arm can swing , sending the small mutt on the chase . ❝  he’s a very distinguished gentleman , ❞ emmett finally agrees . ❝  he’ll need somewhere to parade all of his bowties . like , a real corporate job . gotta hustle and make those bones to pitch in on all these bows , y’know ?? the least he could do . ❞

cooper was aylin's little furry best-friend, they did almost everything together and they wanted to give thim the world. she smiled watching as costanza ran for the stick, meanwhile cooper just trotted along in front of them, “thanks! that was totally the vibe i was going for”. a laugh falls past her lips, “oh for sure, next time i’m in the office with him, i’m gonna get him on the phone to some of my clients”.  cooper was the unofficial mascot for “be our guest”, aylin’s wedding planning company, “he’ll be making bones in no time”.

Massoud shrugged. “Honestly, I think we can write down the big things, leave the details for later, and at least this will be a formal agreement, right?” They gestured for them to follow, opening the door to their office and letting Aylin in. “What are some of the requests you’ve gotten?” They asked.

aylin nods in agreement, "that sounds like the perfect idea. we can get onto the difficult bits later”. they follow the other into their office, they were feeling excited about getting this process started. “well for starters, the couple have asked if they could have the ceremony on their favourite bowling lane” they tell the other, “lane six is the grooms lucky lane, apparently” .

aylin was on a dog walk with emmett and his dog, she’d dressed up cooper especially, in a spooky halloween bow tie. “now this might make me sound a bit like a CRAZY dog mom” aylin pauses for a second, “but i’ve bought a bunch of different cute bow ties for coop, all halloween themed” she tells emmett, waiting for a reaction, “and i might’ve got enough so he can wear a different one everyday”.

Suraj smiled, and nodded. “Yes, please do,” they said, filling Aylin’s coffee again, ready to move on to the next table. “Uhm, I’m Suraj by the way, Suraj Das, in case you can’t find me, I’m usually in the back,” they said.

"i will do" they reply, smiling back at them, they pull out their phone and make a note, "see now i won't forget". "nice to meet ya suraj. i'm aylin. in the back, got it" they were feeling a whole lot better about this thing, they take a sip from their coffee cup, closing their laptop lid, “now i can enjoy my morning...”

for halloween this year, aylin has decided that they are going to be robin buckley from strangers things with cooper the dog being steve harrington. they’ll both be dressed up in the iconic “scoops ahoy” uniform. // @rocketfm​

“Thank you!” Anton exclaims, soft and earnest.

He rounds the island and crouches a little, enough to stand at Cooper’s level, so that the pup doesn’t feel intimidated or challenged.  “Heeyy, lil’ buddy, what’s good?” Anton coos. He reaches to scratch his pointer along Cooper’s chin, gaze soft as he admires Aylin’s sweet companion. 

“How long you had him? He is… gorgeous, man. Gorgeous.”

"no worries" aylin was always happy to see people love cooper like they did, he was theirr best-friend. they watch the two of them, cooper was enjoying the extra attention, they smile, “i got him as a puppy”. the pair had been through a lot together, “he’s just turned three. i had a birthday party for him” they carry on, that was a fun day, they baked him some dog cupcakes.

Massoud looked around the place, one of the lanes was occupied, and they had another employee running tables and keeping the drinks coming. They laughed. “Yeah, we can talk details, I don’t think there is suddenly going to be a storm. If they love the place and come here every weekend, who am I to deny such a request.” They gestured to their office. “I guess as a wedding planner you tend to do these weird requests all the time, right?”

the alley was pretty quiet with only one lane occupied, aylin laughs with them, “awesome! i’d love to get the conversation going” they reply. “i don’t how much paperwork there is going to be. of course, only the best!” now aylin was starting to feel excited, this wedding was one of the more interesting ones they’d done. they follow them towards the office, “yes! this is one of the weirder requests i’ve got but i’m happy to provide”.

And there was that smile Mia worked to bring out in others: giddy, youthful, and fresh. They had her a little on edge at first, as it happens when you are used to speaking to the camera, but the fact that they didn’t try to put their hands on her — sneak in a photo or two — gave her enough autonomy to play. “Believe it, I also need to grocery shop,” she adds a sprinkle of humor, thankful she was dressed up, but then again, the woman made it a habit to dress to the nines, no matter how mundane of a trip. It probably made her easier to spot, but she didn’t mind most days. “Ay, that’s what I like to hear, sailor.” It’s why she made the videos she did, even on the days she struggled to perform. “Thank you for sticking around,” a sheepish undertone mixed with her genuine gratitude, wondering if they had been around for the family vlogs era — of which, most were privated, “what can I do you for? A selfie, autograph, you name it.”

they felt like they were in a dream, this didn’t feel real, a laugh fell past their lips, “of course, of course” they reply. they were starting to feel a little bit more confident now, because of maristella’s friendly persona, aylin was starting to feel more at ease, it felt like they were talking to a friend, rather than someone famous. “oh, good! don’t worry about. you’ve got a life long fan in me” they smile at her, hoping that they didn’t sound weird, they just wanted to show their support, “a photo would be great, thank you”.

Suraj’s smile got wider. Unsure of how they had gotten into the situation where they had actively managed to help someone with their problem. “Thank you,” they said, a light blush on their cheek at the excitement. They figured they were creative enough to have come up with such a solution, and of course, being objective in the situation helped as well. “Glad I could help,” they offered, nodding. “And she can take them home after, that might seal the deal,” they said.

aylin smiles brightly at the other, "no worries! you’ve said me a lot of stress” that was true, hopefully the bride liked the idea too. it was good to hear someone elses thoughts on the matter, “i’m glad too! i’ll let you know how things go” . they nod, liking the sound of this idea already, “yeah, yeah! that’s brilliant” aylin agrees, “they’ll always have a memento of the day then”.

aylin was walking cooper around the local park and she thought the two of them were on their own. so they let cooper off his lead and the little dog went bounding off towards someone else, “coop” they call back to the dog but he wasn’t listening, she quickly follows, scooping him up in their arms, “sorry! he just likes to say hello to everyone”.

Anton glances at the shoe, then the stranger. He shrugs, “s’all you.”

It isn’t until he sets the soggy shoe on the island in the centre of the laundromat that he notices the beady-eyed pup, mouth drawn into a natural, tiny smile. A grin of his own grows on Anton’s face, and he lifts his gaze to the dog’s owner, gesturing at Cooper with a gentle hand.

“Can I?”

aylin watches the other with the shoe, it really was a cute shoe, “i guess we’ll have to keep an eye out for the owner” they shrug in reply. “course ya can. he loves people” they smile, they always loved showing off cooper, plus he was a very friendly little pup, “he’s called cooper. answers to coop too”.

Astrid nodded along. She wasn’t one to go out herself, but very rarely, she got the excitement for a night out on the town. However, finding Aylin, a person she’d been hoping to drag along, still on their pajamas, was like a damp towel on her plans. “I guess that’s as good as any other plan.” She said, starting to give up. “Are you sure you don’t wanna, I don’t know, hit up a bar or something?”

normally aylin would be up for going out and having some fun but tonight, they wanted a cosy night in, they’d had a busy few weeks with work. “yeah! it’s the best plan, trust me” aylin protests, “ugh. maaaaybe i could be convinced” they sigh,  “i guess we could do one” ayling suggests.

Massoud set a few steps closer, throwing the clothing rag over their shoulder as they regarded the question. That was honestly the strangest one they’d had since they started as a manager of the place. “Weddings?” He looked around, might be a good income, if he closed the place down for a day and asked twice as much as he would make on a usual night. “I don’t think so, but there’s a first time for everything, so why not a wedding at a bowling alley!” 

aylin nods at his question, "yes weddings. i'm working with this couple, they love this place" they tell him, "they come here every weekend and want to get married here or at least have the reception”. they’d do whatever they could, to make sure their clients got the wedding of their dreams, “oh great, you’re the best! can we talk the details now or are you busy?”

Among the array of peculiarities that sprouted along Anton’s day-to-day life, there have been some favourites— like that time a mystical thrift store owner had pulled a supposedly lucky bucket hat from ‘the back’ and claimed that it was meant for him (he had gotten a free cupcake out of it, of that Anton’s pretty sure); and that other occasion, when, at a punk show, his synesthesia had painted snakelike shapes that lured him through a nook leading him backstage. The band had turned out to be real chill, as far as he can remember. 

He’s not surprised, then, to find something thumping in his machine, something he’s pretty sure was not included in his pile of colourful, vibrant laundry. Anton popped the gaping door open and caught a sneaker by the laces. Brows creeping up towards his bleached hairline, he shut the washing machine door and turned to the few scattered folk tending to their own chores.

“This anybody’s?”

aylin's washing machine was on the fritz, yet again, they really needed someone to come out and look at it. but they didn’t have enough time or money to do that, so for the second time this month they were down at the local lundromat with cooper, they planned doing a photoshoot with him whilst they waited for their clothes to wash.

they’d just put in their first load when they heard the other’s voice, aylin turns their head, “nope! not mine. cute shoe though”.

“Yeah? You’re going to help me?” Amused smile crossed Ben’s features and he nodded quite simply. “You got a strategy?” Because he sure as hell didn’t have one just yet. The only ideas he had involved feeding the machine quarters until he achieved what he needed to —- not really too well thought out.

aylin nods in reply, “it’ll be better with the two of us” she says, smiling back at him. they had no idea if this would acutally work but it’d be fun to find out anyway, “i’ll do all the hardwork, pressing the attack buttons, you just walk around” they suggest with a shrug of their shoulders.

"i'm not going out tonight" aylin says to the other,  they’d planned on having a cosy night in with cooper, just watching netflix shows and eating takeout. “look i’ve even got my spot cream on, it’s over. i’m not getting changed” she carries on, gesturing up towards her face, “c’mon, you can stay at mine, i’ll order us both pizza”.

Movie night was on for tomorrow to watch ZOMBIES 3 with Dea and Xavier. The rascals had been looking forward to it all week, so while they were still at their father’s house, Mia went to snatch all their favorite snacks and then some. Googling to see if she could make ice cream cone cupcakes, her attention turned when, suddenly, she was called on by a fan, and just like that, her charm switched on, smiling as if she came across a long-lost friend. “¿Qué bolá, marinera?” she greets, using her YouTube catchphrase, and she tries to wave off any of their nerves by piping, “Ay, no, don’t be silly! I’m flattered, really!” As much as she soaked in the attention, little did people know how nervous she truly got when meeting fans in the wild. “Have you been staying tuned for long?”

aylin was doing their best not to freak out, they didn't want mariestella to think that they were some weird fan. but they adored her videos, they often watched them whenever they needed cheering up and for a little while, they used to wish they had a life like hers. as they hear the catchphrase, a bright smile comes across their lips, it was strange to hear it in person, “i can’t believe i’ve bumped into you”. this all felt a bit surreal, “for a couple of years. you’re always my go to youtuber, if i need a distraction” aylin tells her, their cheeks flushing a little.
